The game's probably not completely dead. The developer wrote somewhere officially that he's trying to stick to releasing one Endowed update after every 2 Hypnosis updates. Hypnosis is his primary game, it's older and likelly more popular. And the problem arose from the fact that for the last update (Hypnosis chapter 14) he probably went a bit overboard on the size of it, he worked on it for probably longer than a year. And currently he's working on the 15th chapter, which he said is about 70% done.
So it's possible he'll go back to Endowed when it's finished. I don't know if he'll do that, but it's possible.
Otherwise, as someone mentioned that he released a new game, that's not quite true. On Itch.io he released a premium edition of Hypnosis (containing chapter 14, while the public version currently ends with chapter 13) and along with it "My Ex-Girlfriend's Hot Friends", which is not a game but something like a light novel/book. And from what I understand, it's something that he gave to his backers on Patreon more than year ago.
From what I've read, the best way is by working in a pub, but personally I've never really understood how this feature works, so I don't know.
Scratch that, according to Wiki:
Confidence - The most controversial stat in the game due to misunderstanding. Sammy’s confidence is based on how happy Sammy was for the past hours, so it is a stat that is NOT MEANT TO BE CONTROLLED. If you try hard to control, you will be rerolling situations a lot that can be unenjoyable.
The mall was removed because it didn't fit into the post-apocalyptic world and spoiled the impression. That's something I personally agree with, and browsing the market strikes me as a better mechanic. But I understand that so many people have a problem with it, I too find the success rate of finding a market stall too low. But this may be related to the fact that the amount of clothing in the game has been (if I'm not mistaken) temporarily reduced due to Sammy now having 3 different bust sizes, so hopefully the number of stalls and their merchandise will increase in the future. There's also a chance that more places and ways to get clothes will be added, similar to how you can shop for swimsuits at Sandy's. So I believe there are ways to improve clothes shopping without having to return the mall.
As for stealing, I guess it depends on how you play, I think I've only had one item stolen, maybe not even that.
Okay, I guess that makes sense. Although in some cases (fat and smelly Sammy) I don't really believe they'd pay for it, but generally it's a reasonable explanation for the pub. Paying for beer at home still doesn't make much sense to me though, unless maybe she's supposed to buy it from a flatmate in the future?
The waiting was long, but it was worth it, a truly amazing update. However, I did run into a few minor bugs:
1) Hang out action in Revel street can teleport Sammy to the pub even when it's closed.
2) Sammy gets money for selling clothes in the pub, even if she refuses to sell them.
3) Beer is free in the pub, but costs money at home. (I don't know if this is intentional, but it certainly seems odd; wouldn't it be better overall to remove the beer at home now that it's possible to carry it in inventory?)
4) Sammy can have the status "menstruating" even if she is pregnant.
Note: It would be nice if Sammy had events during her menstruation where she would comment that she wasn't feeling well (similar to tripping at the beginning of the game and nausea during pregnancy). Especially for a man origin Sammy, menstruation should be an interesting new experience. :)
Anyway, great work and looking forward to seeing what's next.
