it would almost definitely be a case of warning the user "hey this is experimental and has a decent chance of not working," but at the same time, being able to try more easily would be a delight

While native games are always going to be preferable, it'd be silly to assume that every game I play will get a native Linux port.  That said, there are a ton of projects that are making it vastly better than it's ever been to run non-native programs (thinking about the GloriousEggroll Proton fork in particular), and I'd like to be able to take advantage of those while using my preferred storefront, which is this.  Handing the EXE off to whatever the user's set up as the default EXE handler would be *clutch*.
