Thanks so much! This has happened to me to when trying to use on linux through proton. It is because I have used C# to create the game which requires the microsoft .net assembly. Sorry but I currently do not know how to fix the issue.
You may need to use proton-GE or Proton experimental!
Joystick/ D-pad: move
A button/ J : Interact
W A S D : move
Run the windows version with proton and it should work.
This is in development. Its early access.
