We are excited to share with you the first episode of "Mermaid Princess Amelia and the Lost Symphony," an episodic adventure visual novel based on Maxine Foti's enthralling fantasy book. 

In this game, you'll dive into the world of Amelia Quintana, a 16-year-old mermaid princess whose life in the ancient Caribbean kingdom of Antemidia is upended by a catastrophic earthquake.

This first episode, spanning over 8,000 words, covers the prologue and the first three chapters of the 17-chapter saga. As Amelia reels from the destruction of her beloved crystal palace and the loss of her friend, she encounters Jet Mir, a mysterious submarine captain and exiled prince.

He offers Amelia a chance at finding her friend, but the help comes with a catch: Amelia must join him on a daring quest to collect mystical artifacts in Portugal...

While primarily a visual novel, Episode 1 enriches the storytelling with point-and-click elements, allowing you to actively engage with the environment, move between locations, and uncover details that add depth to the immersive narrative.

I really love this game! I am a huge fan of Project Gutenberg, so, I was thrilled when I saw it. I have only played the tutorial so far, but game animations and mechanics are amazing and the game itself is a magical experience - the fonts, backgrounds and music combine together in a truly beautiful way. I can't wait to read the poems. ❤️ To answer your questions, I am using the dark mode, didn't turn off any fx (it's awesome!), and the Select a Theme screen is great. It would be great to get more categories as a potential DLC. Thank you for making this game!

About m/m romance, it's a very popular topic. Projects we've made in this genre, sold many copies, but we didn't have the same luck with our straight romance games! :(

About the link to the free game, it was the Turquoise Jewel Sale. In order to access, one needs Max's Aquarium and Broken Hearts' Resort, and the free game was the Lucky Lottery Ticket. By the way, we're also hoping to develop f/f games, and we've just finished the first one! It was supposed to be released on Halloween, but eventually we decided to publish earlier. Perhaps you'd like to review it later when you finish with BFF2BAE? It's Time Travel Tea, about two witches, short and cute.

14 Long Days was momentarily put on hold, as we're trying to make a 3D version of this game. It's probably going to take some time before we can complete it. 3D is a whole other type of magic hahaha.

About available games, if you don't enjoy M/M romance, no pressure! You can choose whatever you like and let go of the rest. From straight romance games, there's the  Witch Hunt Rescue, Legends of Phalana and Antoinette's Choice.  Paperweight's Curse is also a straight romance, with a possible gay dating option, but you can ignore it and treat the guy as friend.

We're thrilled that you enjoyed the chemistry between the main characters! And yes, Artemis, being the goddess of punitive nature, reminds Dorieus that he's being watched and judged, even during his escapade to meet Alexios.

From what I remember, the last scene in this game is with the two heroes returning home after the battle, so yes, they survived!
