If she was snatched by the demoness-(which would happen if you lose to the demoness while wearing her)-though I heard that "let her win" refers to letting the demoness win until you get her relationship bar up high enough that she's willing to let Violet go and that should allow you to start raising her bar up again.

Yep and at the start of the game the shop that only opens at night sells a wallet that increases the max gold from 100 to 300.

After chasing it for a bit it should eventually relent and take you to the weird fairy tree area and say that it'll give it to you for a berry. Which is the same berry that's used for healing-(for some reason I thought it was a apple lol)-so giving them that should work.
