This is probably one of the reasons people publish their games on steam. I have one more reason to work harder on my project !
At least for now, I requested validating my exe at microsoft.
I noticed that too, really weird !
After bunch of rebuilding, I found that naming the project name to 1.7 instead of 1.7.5 eliminates false flagging my game as a virus. I can confirm windows no longer detect it as virus as I can now download my game on itch.io and play it normally.
So I renamed the project name to 1.7 despite the actual contents being 1.7.5 I hope it works for you too !
you can fly by controlling collective and cyclic simultaneously.
If you want to fly up, you need to increase collective while adjusting cyclic to maintain 0 pitch and roll degree.
To fly forward, you need to control cyclic to find and maintain the pitch angle (usually between 15~20 degree pitch down) where the helicopter flies straight forward, watching vertical speed indicator. then you can slightly move the pitch around in case you want to fly up or down while flying forward
NOE is possible by carefully controlling collective and cyclic to maintain lowest radar altitude, and it's important for your survival especially against AA units.
In the next patch AI helicopters will be able to perfrom NOE against AA units as well, and Shilkas' radar guidance will be less accurate when their target is lower than 60 meters, which is caused by false returns from ground clutter.
Sorry for lack of response, I had stopped making games for a while due to various reasons.
But recently, I got a new laptop and am firing up my development passion again to learn c# and unity, to make my own helicopter action game featuring MD-500 defender and AH-1 cobra.
I know that it will be a very long and painful journey and I'll need to spend several months or years making crappy unity games first to learn many things, but I'm willing to take that pain to eventually make my dream helicopter game.
So yeah, I'll do my best to make a fun game featuring little flying eggs, because the world doesn't give any love to my two favorite helicopters. (AH-1S cobra and any MD-500 / MD-530 defender series)
https://hijong-park.itch.io/stargate-for-tic-80
This is my first TIC-80 project and a port of Eugene Jarvis' legendary game Stargate, that I previously made in pico8.
There were many cut features in pico8 version due to hardware limitation, but thanks to TIC-80's superior hardware I could implement all the features of the original game.
I'm impressed by TIC-80's performance and planning to make more games for it !
i think second examplel would be better so users can make a profile of multiple controllers easily. I use an arcade stick for strafing,l rudder pedals for moving forward/backward and anything else for flight stick.
many controllers offer third party software to configure deadzone, but it would be better to configure the deadzone in the game.
