Are you a fan of Sherlock Holmes? Perhaps you like underwater settings? Love narrative adventures? Worship pun-based names? Just happy to be here?

Feel free to say hi and introduce yourself.

I'm Hollydragon, an artist, crafter, game maker and things I like include archaeology, books, food (growing, cooking and eating), TTRPGs, archery, art history, learning to design, knit and sew clothes, and well, anything else I can get my brain-teeth into.

Sherloctopus Holmes started as an #OCTOber art challenge work, and grew from the multiple requests I received to take it further. The requests coincided with the news that Sherlock would be completely public domain by 2023.  Now I am sat in a cave with my pens and papers spread around, and a big story flow chart pinned to the wall,  Sherlock book open on the desk, and notes crumpled up all over the floor, as I enact the crazed masterplan that is this game. Metaphorically and digitally speaking at least, all of this action is happening on my PC. The poor, tired, thing.

Any questions about the game? Ask away!

Thanks for the feedback! A small percentage of people have had the similar feedback that they've not realised they can go inside the train to find more metal nuts (or didn't realise immediately).

That is one of the graphics that the game jam deadline left little time to work on more, but I am planning to return with some tweaks in spring after the Jam review has taken place! I hope that you'll consider giving it another go, there's so much more to see.

Very cute!

Bugs: Going left to the castle makes the game lock you in place. Going directly down to the forest of fear teleported me over the barrier but then I was stuck there and could not get back or leave. I am not sure if I should have been able to interact with the frozen person or anything in their house, but did not find any information, and Joakim did not follow me.

Praise: I love the style and the fact that you've put a lot of effort into the story, and I did get to pet the cat!

Lovely concept!

I LOVE this!

I LOVE this!

Noice!

Thank you!

Wouldn't have been possible without Bitsy! Thank youuuuu!

Little game tip:

Explore, explore, explore!

Those were the days!

YOU ARE A SQUIRREL AND YOU NEED NUTS

Winter is coming, the leaves are falling, and you must gather a stash of food for winter so that you can hibernate peacefully in your drey (that's a squirrel nest btw). This is a perfectly normal and regular thing for a squirrel to do, and therefore nothing unusual could possibly happen to you... right?

This game was made by Hollydragon_ using the Bitsy game engine by Adam LeDoux for the 30 day  Games Now! online jam #7

It's my first Bitsy game, and my first solo jam game!

Look forward to streaming this on my own anniversary day soon!

Even though the game looked good from the screenshots, I was still pleasantly surprised how polished and well-written it actually was. Lovely quality, great humour; I'm looking forward to the full release!

Yes, very early on I did think that a co-op game where control of the environment would be divided by the wall, but I did not even try to scope it into the game jam!
I also have follow-up plans for something co-operative.
