Lotta fun. Great retro feel, felt very satisfying and well balanced!

Thank you Matt, so glad to hear that. Definitely more of the game on the way, it’s just a demo for now :) -Liam

Satisfying movement mechanics. Great personality and humour in the cutscenes, they reminded me of Super Paper Mario (in the best way possible). -Liam

Fun spin on tower defence! Loved the sense of humour in the narration/story, definitely had some good chuckles. As a few others mentioned, some audio feedback and background music would help make it feel more immersive. And some stats would help understand what’s going on – like how many of your players are alive, how many baddies are around, how much health they have, damage being dealt/received. (Our game could definitely work on improving its player feedback too.)

Let Canadian maple reign supreme. -Liam

Thank you so much oonie! Yes we are definitely aware that it could use plenty of improvement, especially in terms of level design, game length, re-playability, and more. It’s still flawed and DIY at this stage – even the second level even has an extra enemy that we didn’t mean to put there, haha. Really appreciate your thoughtful feedback and ideas.

And thanks for the congrats! “Game Studio” is a generous description of us honestly, we’re just two good mates working from each other’s houses (and I’ve updated our profile to clarify that!)

Cheers :) -Liam

fun unique execution for a platformer!

fun and challenging with a groovy tune to accompany you!

Not sure it’s just me, but the game doesn’t seem to load? Tried it in both Safari and Chrome.

Such a charming game with clever mechanics. Feels very satisfying.

Ah I see, my misunderstanding, I didn’t know that that was the case.

Thank you so much Lucas, it means a lot.

i used to play bonic back in ’96. those were the days. glad to see a revival so faithful to the original storyline and yet creative with its execution. 11/10

Never played a 2D heist-themed game before, super fun and well-executed!

Hilarious yet heartbreaking. What a thrill.

Favourite game of the jam so far! Just feels so cohesive and has such personality, backed up by fun, challenging gameplay.

Great vibe in terms of aesthetic and music, and really challenging! The climber’s little scream is a fun touch hahah.

Thank you Lorenzo! We’re definitely planning to flesh it out and add more mechanics in future so feel free to chuck us a follow :)

Fun and cute, loved the feel of it! Nice pacing, felt like I got to explore and have a bit of freedom.

What gorgeous visuals and atmosphere. Feels like an interactive artwork you might see in a museum. I only wish that my decisions mattered more to affect the tower, but I suppose might be part of the point.

Good bit of fun! Liked the music, controls felt good too

Seems cool! Love the clean yet elegant pixel-art, great job of capturing a medieval feel. Music is fantastic too. Unfortunately about 3-minutes in, the whole screen went dark and it seemed that no matter what I did, I couldn’t advance through the game. Not sure if it was a bug or I was missing something.
