Ive been playing this game since the beginning, it's been a good run 16 years old when I first saw your game... I'm 22 now when from 10th grade to owning a house in that time. Obviously I wanted this game to end up being finish, it had a lot of promise. But I wish you luck on all your future endeavors.

Im thinking about doing that video that I was talking about after the next update or something, and honestly this game is getting really good

(1 edit)

I also have a few questions

1. Will the game ever be on Steam?

2. If it will, how much will it cost?

3. Do you have a roadmap for future developement

4. what tools do you use in the developement of this game i.e. game engine and modeling tools

5. Are you planning to upgrade the graphics?

6. Are you planning on hiring people, or getting more people into the development of this game to speed up development

I would also like you to know that I now do freelance graphic design, if you are interested in that email me at iangoppert@icloud.com

my channels are

Ian Goppert (this channel is for making videos about Blender which is a 3D graphics suite, I dont do tutorials yet because the next update is a graphical overhaul, so im wating for that)

TheRealSauron (This channel is for gaming, this is were I will upload the video for this game)

edit: I have uploaded the video, any of the questions that you answer will be in a follow up video

ok, if you have noticed I deleted that vid soon after, and gave up on making one... woops. im here  to say that I will be trying again now that i have a new pc and am more experienced with YouTube. also my last channel has been deleted, but I have made a new one, so ya i'll actually be making a video now

i think i had the same problem, assuming you are using the itch.io app you will see two downloads one called macos and one called hardware tycoon. one of them works and one does not

also if you want to check out my YouTube channel, my channel is called MrTechDude

This game is awesome, I stopped playing it for about a year so I was really supprised when I came back and so much stuff changed. Even with this game in beta I can tell that it will end up being much better than game dev tycoon. I'm thinking about making some YouTube videos on this game once it gets a little more content to.

when is the next devlog going to be...

ok, so I am in the process of uploading the first video, also heads up there is alot of criticism on the ui and no offence was meant, hope you enjot the video once its uploaded it shoulld be uploaded within the next 5 hours on the MrTechDude youtube channel

When will the next update be?

I had to delay the videos because I got a new pc, I will post a link to the first video when its doen, it should be doen in the next week.

oh, I almost forgot, can you make the default aspect ratio 16/9 because that is the most common moniter size, and i dont like black bars in full screen

Also I love this game keep up the good work :)

ok, so i fugured out what was wrong with the mac osx download, in the ich app there are two downloads that show up on mac and windows

in mac they are macosx, and hardware tycoon

in windows they are windows 64 bit, and hardware tycoon,

(on a mac to make the game work you need to install the download labeled hardware tycoon, not the one labeled macosx

Also i found this on the web

Publishing on OS X and Linux

The most common problem with publishing to OS X and Linux is the execute permission for the executable files. File permissions work slightly differently on Windows, and it generally recognises any file ending in .exe as something that can be run. On OS X and Linux, executable files have no special file extension, instead requiring an "executable" file permission to be set. Windows is not usually aware of this, so if you copy files from Windows to an OS X or Linux system, the files may not have execute permission and therefore fail to run.

On Linux, the following command enables execute permission for the file 'mygame'. Run this from the terminal to ensure the file can be run:

chmod a+x mygame

On Mac OS X, there are actually several files inside the app package that need to be executable. The easiest way to preserve the permissions is to copy the exported project using OS X instead of Windows. If you network a Windows and OS X machine together, log in to Windows, and copy the files to the OS X system, it isn't aware of the file permissions and can lose the execute permission, causing the resulting app to fail to run on OS X. However if you log in to OS X and copy the files from the Windows system, it preserves the permissions and should produce an app that can run.

ok, well this seems to be a common problem with the games that use construct 2 so they might have an update soon like in the next few months. keep an eye out for an update please :)

i dont think ninja sword is the right word as ninjas did not have special swords in fact they rarely used them

(I think you mean katana)

I will be spending the next few days learning the ins and outs of this game and than i will be uploading videos to youtube

once im doen with general videos about it i will be doing update videos

(WARNING! im not a very big youtube channel as i havent uploaded any vids to my main chanel and have uploaded only afew to my tech channel)

Also the research stops shoing thing after awhile

it works to download, but it doesnt launch I tried downloading from the itch app and the website but it doesnt work

(this might not hep you but i think tube tycoon has the same problem)

(this may help though, MacOS(yes it is called that now) has recently had a file system update, so if you can you should update the dmg using the engine)

yes what you say is true but, an open world like elderscrolls has loading screens for every building sooooo i think a better phrase would be to make it more emersive

also quests and aq story line later down the road

i think it would be cool if in the hub there is only one portal to the town, and in the town there are doors or gateways in areas that act as potals. like for the arena make an arenaq looking structure and make the door a portal, and that kind of thing

on the highest graphics the eye texture is white

Hardware Tycoon will not launch on mac
