I will not be able to finish and submit the game. I have a major emergency that has come up with my mom and so I am sending this message right now while I have some time. I may not even be able to be online during the next few days.

Thank you for all the replies. It has been a long crazy week and I wish I had had the time earlier to sit for a sustained long amount of time to finish the document but that's how life goes sometimes. I was thinking about it at various times throughout the days. Here is a google doc link to the design document. It is pretty much finished with updates and screen shots coming as I code and create art work. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1AYc4IgRfGpXud_TMbtWp3CbCwuKav36a
I hope it makes sense and does justice to our Christian walk and to Ephesians 4:32 (the verse I chose). I want to encourage all to continue praying for each other, do what the Lord leads you to do, have fun, and just do your very best no matter the outcome!
Blessings!!!
I chose Ephesians 4:32 "Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you." I went back and read Ephesians 4 and found Ephesians 4:1 as the inspiration for the title of my game. Ephesians 1-3 is about who we are in Christ, what our character is. Ephesians 4-6 is about how we should behave and what we do as believers.
I think I will create a vertically scrolling game where various objects/images and words will scroll down from a slower speed to a faster speed that represent (being kind, tender-hearted, and forgiving), along with objects/images and words that do not represent those 3 words. If the player chooses correctly, then more points will be gained and if they guess incorrectly points will be lost. Kind of like training to select the good things which become a habit and can even change your mind, mood, and feelings. At the end you will get to redeem those points for a special event/surprise that I won't quite reveal yet. Still praying, thinking, and designing.
The verses selected are:
Ephesians 4:32 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven [a]you.
Joel 2:7 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
7 They run like mighty men,
They climb the wall like soldiers;
And they each march [a]in line,
Nor do they deviate from their paths
Romans 15:4 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
4 For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope
I like your idea for a game. Continue in prayer and ask God to guide you as you are dealing with the subject. Things that are personal and passionate for us is one way God uses us to do certain tasks. I think one way we can keep from glorifying the idea of suicide is by helping people realize the affect their actions have on those family members and friends left behind, especially children. They need to think of those things and also realize that tomorrow is a new day. God is sovereign and in control. Somehow, they need to change their perspective and see some hope for a better tomorrow.
