It isn't a ripoff, it is paying homage to the 3D Megaman games. Lots of devs like to make their own games to pay homage to ones they enjoyed playing. It's a sort of sentimental thing! This game is still different enough to be it's own thing, thus, not a ripoff.
After I got the part in the engine room,the character froze and would not move, then he died before I even saw the creature, and it was only as the screen faded to black that he started moving again :(
