Hey Melancholia, currently your style isn't what I'm looking for.

Hey Ingrid,

Currently I'm interviewing enough composers/sound designers (I will update the OP to say this), but I do like your work. I will keep you in mind if others fall through.

Hey Riki, currently your style isn't what I'm looking for.

Hey Ahmed, I may be interested in your assistance when it comes to making sound effects. That said, I still have a lot to learn about what I'd even want, as I know the least about sound effects when it comes to game development. I will keep you in mind for the future.

Hey Valsprites, currently your style isn't quite what I'm going for. Looking at your Ko-fi, you also mention it being a huge bonus to have reference material for the character designs, which as of now I do not have. That said there have been very few sprite artists contacting me so far, so I will keep you in mind.

EDIT: I have temporarily removed Composer/Music as I am interviewing enough of them at the moment.

Hey y'all,

I've been working on a 2D movement-based roguelite game featuring magical girls. The game started out as a mod for a Madoka Magica fangame called Grief Syndrome. The idea grew into something beyond what a mod could do so I've changed it into its own game/IP with Unity.

Currently, I'm still using sprites from Grief Syndrome as temp assets, as well as music from Madoka Magica itself as temp music, but I am looking to replace them.

I am looking for people to _collaborate with_ in doing this. By this I mean currently there isn't anything set in stone for the visuals or music of the game, I would like to work with people to create it.

More specifically I am looking for the following,

Character/Enemy Sprite Artist. Must be able to also animate the sprites. I am not looking for insanely smooth or detailed animation/art, you can look at Maiden and Spell or Rabbit and Stell on Steam to see what I'm looking for. I also like those games' art styles in general.

VFX Sprite Artist. Must also be able to animate these sprites.

Background/Environment Sprite Artist. These can be static.

UI Sprite Artist. These can be static.

SFX

These positions will be paid.

Below is a snippet of a basic gameplay loop of picking a stage while avoiding the encroaching darkness and clearing it. The player can change the color of their attack to match the color outlining the enemies. Special attacks are "white" and damage anything. There's more to be said but this is enough to understand the video, hopefully. (This video is obviously  alpha, only showing 1 enemy type)
