Seems like the lead developer was getting a Bachelor’s. From their socials and what others are saying it seems like it’s going to resume, and it lines up pretty well too because it takes around 3-4 years to get a Bachelors I believe.

OOOH! That makes so much more sense! We know that Therium is aware of Scribbles using MC as a host because he reminds MC that ‘It’s not just your body’. I wonder if Therium is trying to get Scribbles to possess him instead of Cody then? And yeah, I’ll be sure to! I was actually playing Therium’s route to get to Alvy cause I fell hard and got sidetracked so I’ll do Therium properly when I have time.
Here’s a little theory of mine. I reference some scenes from Alvy’s route and make predictions about the story, so MASSIVE spoiler alert…

Am I the only one who thinks that Therium was the guy that Alvy’s parents arranged for him to marry? As MC and Alvy start to spend more time together Therium says things like ‘I’m so much better than him’ showing that he must have some kind of deeper connection or interest with him specifically. Then when he comes to visit MC and Alvy at your new house, Alvy has an extreme nervous response to his presence. I know he doesn’t like social situations, so confrontations can’t be too enjoyable for him, but still this seems a little excessive even then. Plus, all of this was straight after he admitted he’d had a relationship that he regretted. Also, I don’t think Therium is the horse’s real name; compared to the others, it feels a little out of place. I know that in Alvy’s subsequent dream his mother refers to his partner as a very different name… something like ‘Richard’, I think? Plus, Therium seems like the kind of guy that his parents would regard as an ‘investment’; he’s attractive, presents himself well, undeniably talented in magic, intelligent, and appears to me to come from wealth.
It may be a long shot, but I think this would go a little ways in explaining why Therium seems so enfatuated with Alvy, why Alvy seems so uncomfortable around Therium, and why Therium refers to MC with a tone of underlying contempt. I have not yet played Therium’s route yet, so I should probably do that to find out more about him.
Okay… Tate is very cute, but Alvy is straight up adorable. I feel like there’s a lot more to him than has been disclosed currently… beyond backstory, more so who he fundamentally is as a person and what fuels his choices and attitudes towards others, more specifically his compassion in the face of his past. I also think that this can also be said for MC though, minus the traumatic past. I think it’ll be really sweet to see Alvy begin to flourish now that he’s found the right boy for him. I get the feeling that MC will turn out to be a pretty pivotal turning point in his life. Looking forward to the next day!
What we’re searching for is true objectivity; making judgements without interference by emotions. Of course this is impossible, but it is something we should be aware of so that we can counteract it to some degree. I think the term ‘Unconscious Bias’ is overused today, but it is true that we all have them and we can’t let them cloud our judgement too much.
Not necessarily! Judgement can also be a result of a false schema that you hold. These can be learned through direct observation of the actions of others, but they can also be formed without firsthand or even real life experiences. If you were to show an animation of a dog biting someone to a child, they would equate such an experience with real life animals and go through life with the assumption that dogs were dangerous. As much as it is the responsibility of others to leave good impressions on us, it also falls on us to ensure that the impressions we create of others are reasonable in the first place, otherwise we are simply more likely to look for reinforcement for our previous beliefs than to create new ones.
Sissels route was the second VN I ever played after Adastra. I thought Adastra was great, but Repeat blew it out the water for me personally. I felt more connected to the MC and enjoyed the actual story more. In terms of romance visual novels, I actually use it as a benchmark to measure other VNs against. It was that good. Only other one that matches it is Dawn Chorus, but I’m fairly new around here so I’m hoping to find some other good reads :3
Hey, just pointing out some errors I’ve spotted. Hope I’m being helpful here!
During the car chase when Owen, Phillip and the two debt collectors were flying by you and Sissel it referred to the two vehicles as “two cars”, but one of them was a motorcycle.
After manhandling Hershel out of his room Sissel says “I’m no good enough for this” (presuming you meant “not”).
Once again thanks for your continuous hard work on this VN, it’s definitely up there with some of the best ones on itch and in my personal top 3.
It was Arvo both times. He just said kinda the same thing to Mikko as he did to Rune. You might be right, he could be talking about the purpose and meaning of memories in our lives; timelines folding in on themselves as our minds bring up the events of moments passed in the present, affecting our current actions and thoughts, though the moments themselves are gone forever. That's quite cool to think about actually.
Okay, I feel genuinely singled out here. I am an aspiring musician who reads and practices a ton philosophy, works out a lot and enjoys working myself half to death (sometimes). Rune's route is one I really connect with on a personal level. Lake is perfect, but Rune is literally me.
By the way (if it's no bother to you), could you tell me what you mean by life being 'linear'? That's the kind of stuff I like to sit, think and have an existential crisis about sometimes.
Thank you for making! 5 stars from me.
Well I left with the impression that he never really wanted to be fulfilled at all. Also the camera rope around Echo's neck looks strikingly similar to the noose around the remanent's neck, so I think there's some similarity there. But if he was a death wish why would echo not just be a remanent? Idk man, I'm just excited to find out!
No shit, I actually started to get concerned because I was enjoying Sissel's route so much that I wasn't getting work done in the day! The story? Genuinely imaginative and interesting. The characters? Ridiculously well written and presented. The music? Beautiful (Especially 'Hanahaki-slow-piano. That quick E flat in the second repetition of the melody gives me dem feels every time lol.) Humour? Right up my street. Sissel? Christ fucking help me, I'm a little too obsessed with that cute, goofy lil clump of pixels on my screen
Overall, incredible job. As romance VNs go, I enjoyed it more than Adastra and, for me, that's really saying something. I'm looking forward to the update!
