Thank you! I'll probably keep polishing this up after the jam's over, and that includes getting some sound effects and music done.

Thanks! Sadly, game design it's not my strong suit, so I outsourced that part of the process to my team mate hahaha

I really liked it! I love the graphics especially, it's a really fun art style. I just wish there was some visual feedback for when one soul pushes another, sometimes it's hard to tell which soul was the one pushing when it gets too crowded.

Thank you! Glad you liked it!

Fun and cute, I found some bugs but being a jam game it's to be expected. With more post-jam polish this could be a really fun game! Congrats!

Thank you! Progress has been slow but I'm still working on this! I'm currently porting the whole game to Godot 4.

It is very much alive! I am currently porting the whole game to Godot 4, and in the process doing a lot of cleanup and refactoring.
I sometimes post updates to my twitter, here.

Any news on this? I couldn't figure it out on my part, and I don't have a Windows machine to test it :(

Yeah, I wasn't expecting HS2 to come back hahahaha. I've been thinking about revamping this project but I'm not yet sure how I would approach it.

Glad you like it!

Sorry! I haven't gotten around to cleaning up the source code yet. I'm working on other projects, but I have been mostly busy with life. It wasn't rude to ask, by the way, don't worry! Sorry I took so long to respond, too!

Hello! Can you post more details? What OS are you running? Which version did you download?

Weird, I'm using Firefox too. I'll look into it as soon as I have more time.

Huh, that's weird. Maybe it IS a browser thing? What browser are you using? I'll have to do more testing with other browsers. That being said, I also plan on releasing desktop builds.

And thank you!

Oh, yeah. This was submitted as part of a game jam. I just realized you posted this on the game's page instead of the jam's submission page, so maybe you're not coming from the jam. Sorry!

First of all, thank you for playing!

That being said, sorry! I was able to submit the game with 2 minutes to spare, so sadly no testing could be done.

Having to mash space bar was intended to be annoying, but I may have gone a little overboard. Also, when you mash the button, you can't move the mouse, if you move the mouse while mashing the space bar, the inputs will not register (this was intended as a way to put pressure on the player, so they have to mash fast enough to be able to recenter their view before it drifts too much). I should have explained this better, but again, I didn't have enough time. All of these issues, along with others, will be addressed in a post-jam patch. Plus, more art is also on the way.

I hope once the update releases, you may be able to give my game another chance!

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it!

Sure! I'll get to it soon. The only reason I didn't open source it right away is because I threw this together really quickly. This was originally a 3D modelling exercise, I just put it in Godot for fun. I'll clean up the code a little and I'll put it on GitHub.

I'm glad you liked it!

Son de alguna universidad?

Hola! Una duda: son parte de algún curso de videojuegos? 🤔

console modding is not boring, 0/10 can't relate to mc
Just kidding, this was surprisingly heartwarming. It kinda made me want to do my own dating sim with my OC. 11/10

Also, you could release a Linux build! Since it's made in Ren'Py it shouldn't be too hard (in fact that's just what I did to play it myself!)

Thank you!

Sorry, the project is abandoned for the time being. :(

Thanks!

I mean yes, I could use Wine, but seeing as the game is made in Godot Engine exporting to Linux shouldn't be too hard (I've never had issues exporting to Linux myself)

Hello. Sorry to be "that guy" but will there be a Linux release eventually? :(

That's weird. I'll look into it and let you know!

Oh no! Does it give you any additional information? Could you post your system specs?

Oh! It seems to be a problem with how Windows handles the file extension. Try renaming the file to something like "Homestuck Desktop Buddies.exe"

Could you share a screenshot? Also, this is a standalone program not related to shimeji.

Not for the time being, sorry. However, the source code is publicly available so if you know a little Python you could make it run on your Mac.

¡Gracias! La traducción ha ido lenta, pero sigue en pie.

It works!! It takes an awful long time to open the window after I open the file, but that might be on me.

What was the issue anyway?

Also the game looks great, once I finish the demo I'll give you my more detailed thoughts on it!

Nice! I was sleeping, I'll try it out right away!

Neither worked u__u

I think once I'm done with this job I'll just fire up a Windows machine to play this, really looking forward to it

I'll try them right away!

Just download an older version, that's what I've had to do in those cases.

Aside from the embed pck option everything seems to be like default. That's really weird. Are you using 3.3.3? Maybe you could try exporting it with an older version (it has happened to me that sometimes new versions break stuff in my games, even if they're small updates like 3.3.3)

Sorry, I meant the export settings. Maybe there's something wrong with that. Did you change anything from the Linux export template?
