so far today we've completed the titlescreen and walksprites for both suri and eleanor !! i'm planning on doing parallax mapping for each area of the game, so i should get started on that!! i also need to design the four bosses, art-wise, so that charlie can draw their bust images !!

1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?

hii, i'm seymour !!  i work mostly in rpgmaker mv and vx ace and i'm super looking forward to finally maybe completing a game this summer !!

2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?

nope ;; i joined because i feel like this jam is the push i need in order to actually get shit done. with people relying on my and stuff i cant afford to slack off !!

3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?

i love animal crossing, yo-kai watch, pokemon, all mario games, nintendo shit. magicians quest mysterious times is a great game!!  i also like horror a lot, silent hill two and three are my favorites in that category !!!! yo-kai watch and animal crossing definitely made me want to make my own game, which is why my game idea is kind of a mix of those things haha.

4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?

i have been twiddling around in rpg maker for about five years now, but have never finished a full game!! but i'm pretty solid at eventing, using scripts, and doing teh art portion of everything.

5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!

poetry and art and creation in general!!!!! i try to create always

6. What are your goals for this game jam?

to put together at least a demo that i and my teammates can feel proud of. i want to feel accomplished with what i've done, no matter what it is.

7. Any advice to new jammers (if you're a veteran)?

a young botanical necromancer named suri works to bring plants back to life with the help of her girlfriend, eleanor. once the plants are back to life, she must engage in battle in order to tame them & capture their essence – their physical form will stay in her garden, but their “essence” will stay with her in order to help fight more battles & heal more plants.
