No clue if you're still available, but we'd love to have you on our team.  Feel free to DM me on discord as interstellar_train_wreck and I can tell you more about our project.

Re-upping this post because I should've specified the 3D artists we're looking for. Currently, we're looking for 3D environment artists.

Needed Roles:

  • 3D Environment Artists
  • Unity, Godot, or UE5 Devs
  • Indie devs that have experience with creating their own studios

Hey folks! interstellar here with another recruitment post. Looking to expand our team and take the next step in development. At the moment, funding is still limited, so these will most likely have to be unpaid positions for the time being (sorry). However, if you're one of the above and interested in our project, here's a brief overview of our project.

Project Title: “Colors of Love”

Genre: Dating Sim / Slow-Burn Psychological Horror

Synopsis: Colors of Love is a cute, arts-&-crafts-styled first-person dating sim game about hanging with your friends before you all go to college. Spend a week with a colorful cast of characters, growing closer and hearing their stories. If you say the right things, maybe you’ll even walk away as something a little more than friends.

Of course, first you’ll have to figure out the meaning of those weird dreams of yours. Confront your friends’ trauma, as well as your own. Ignore the tapping at your window. Don’t look in the mirror. Survive as best you can. And be careful…

Getting close to people changes more than just yourself.

Visual Style: We’re aiming for a hand-crafted style, the kind you’d see in something like Paper Mario (i.e., sticker characters rendered in 2D, paper and cardboard textures, those sorts of things).

Content Warnings: This game is, ultimately, about mental health, and will discuss depression and suicide ideation. As such, if you’re uncomfortable with these sorts of topics, I’ll understand if you’d prefer not to work with us.

Current Goals: We’re trying to build a prototype of the game in order to start amassing support. From there, I’d like to get out a playable demo hopefully before the end of the year, then start crowdfunding for the full game. As of now, a majority of the story is written, and we’ve got designs for the four main characters made.

Hello! If you're still looking for a project, mine is still in need of a programmer. My discord is @interstellar_train_wreck.

I'd love to talk and check out some of your work. Could you add me on discord? I'm @interstellar_train_wreck

Hi! interstellar here. I'm a writer looking for a team to help me make a first-person psychological horror game disguised as a cute dating sim with visual novel elements. The overall goal is to create a fully 3D environment with 2D characters (Danganronpa & Paper Mario are the two things that first come to mind. That's a fun dichotomy.) I've primarily been inspired by Doki Doki Literature Club, and I want to create a game that fans of that game can enjoy that doesn't just rehash the same old  formula that's already been done.

Story Blurb: Explore your hometown as you spend one last week with your friends before you all go off to college! Grow closer, and be there for the people you care about. Don't make the same mistakes.

I'm currently primarily looking for programmers and 3D modelers. Not picky about the engine (UE, Unity, Godot).

I've got long-term plans for this project, but short-term I'm looking to get a playable demo out before I do anything like that.

Everything will be okay, right?

Heya folks! interstellar here.

TL;DR - Looking for programmers, 3D modelers, experienced individuals, etc. to help me put together my game.

Now, to explain a bit. I've been developing a psychological horror dating sim game inspired by the likes of DDLC and Cooking Companions, but always felt it lacked something and failed to differentiate itself enough from its predecessors. Eventually, I realized how to add that something, at the cost of expanding it way way WAY beyond what I'm capable of. I've decided to switch to a 3D game with visual novel aspects. To do that, I'll need someone who knows how to use Unity, UE, Godot, etc.; someone who knows how to create and texture 3D models; anyone who knows how to do this sort of thing. So, I'm reaching out to all of you again.

For now, this is going to have to be unpaid. Sorry about that. I won't ask you to do more than a demo.

If you're interested in my game, or you want to expand your portfolio, or anything at all, reach out to me on Discord (interstellar_train_wreck, or just interstellar) or respond to this post.

Writer here. Curious on whether this is a paid or unpaid gig.

Hi! I'm interstellar, and I'm developing a visual novel game. Do you have a Discord or something similar?

Hi everyone!

I'm interstellar, and I'm currently developing a psychological horror game disguised as a visual novel (like DDLC or Cooking Companions).

As such, I'm looking for somebody who can simultaneously create cheerful and emotional music that can easily be twisted into something that sends shivers down your spine.

For those who want more information, feel free to contact me!

Hi! Do you have a portfolio for your work?

Entirely up to the artist. Most of the money will hopefully come from sales, though I am willing to pay some up front.

Hi, everybody!

I'm currently trying to develop a psychological horror game disguised as a visual novel dating sim, and I need somebody to do the art for it.

In particular, I'm looking for an artist with a cute, cartoony style that doesn't mind a bit of gore.

So far, I've got a significant portion of the story done, though I suppose that's the easy part.

Currently, the project is being designed in Ren'Py.

If interested, you can either respond to this post or contact me at colorsoflovegame@gmail.com
