Yeah a lot of people get stuck there.
Here's the steps to complete the chapter. Sorry for the late reply, I haven't really looked at this site in a while:
-From the starting room go up to the room called "Hallway".
-Enter the 2nd door from the left, it will be called "Child's Room".
-Check the cabinet by the pink bed and take the "funny glasses" from inside.
-Exit the room and go back to the starting room then go left into the room called "Entryway"
-Check the cabinet behind the purple chair and look at the notepad inside.
-Go back to the starting room and walk all the way down and enter the southernmost room. (You will get a message saying that the boxes blocking this room are gone or something similar to that)
-Go all the way to the left and enter the "organ room"
-Check the organ
If you need help with something else, feel free to ask me about it. Thanks for checking out my game.
Hi, I haven't checked on this site in a while so I didn't see your message until now, sorry.
I'm glad you liked the game.
The story/idea is a little vague, but it was mostly based off of events surrounding my life and people in my life.
The "Grandma's House" in the game, for example, is loosely based off of my real grandparents' house.
The game is about a boy who goes through the memories of a person they know in the future, but not at the present moment. They meet their future self in the end (That part probably wasn't very clear though).
The "orbs" that they keep meeting are all the same person but from different stages of life. They meet the person as a baby, as a child, as a pre-teen, and as a teen- nearly an adult.
It is mentioned throughout the story that this unseen person goes through certain struggles- they lose their grandparents, they're poor, and they have some sort of mental disorder which makes it hard for them to make friends as they get older.
The player's job is not only to find their lost name, but to also save this unseen person's life by getting their future self to realize that this unseen person needs their help.
The meaning of the game is supposed to be about finding happiness by moving on from your past. Though I'm not sure how well it conveys that meaning.
Hi, it's alright. I'm here to try and help.
I'm assuming you're stuck in Chapter 2 as well with "Grandma's House". Since I don't know how far you've made it in the chapter, I'm going to list all the steps to complete the chapter:
Thanks for playing my game!
Hello! Don't worry, you aren't dumb. This was my first game and uh... it shows. Go to the entryway of Grandma's House (the room with the giant purple chair) and check the cabinet there. After reading the notepad in there, you should be allowed in the southern room of the house. If you need anymore help, I'd be happy to lend a hand. Thanks for playing my game :)
I just checked my email for the first time in a few months and saw that you had left this comment on my page. Sorry it's taken so long to reply but I was embarrassed of this game and didn't want to look at my game page for a very long time. Thank you for the kind words and for the tips. You've actually made me want to replay my own game which I haven't touched or even looked at since I released it to the public. It's really cool that you're a programmer and I would be very interested in helping you out with anything you think I could help with. I myself aspire to be a programmer, but uh I'm still working on that. I am super anti social however, super shy, super bad with talking. Typing is good, talking not so much, and having discussions with people online or off, is something I struggle with so it may be a bit hard to work with me (sorry). But if you're still looking for a story writer, I'd be glad to work with you as best as I can. Thanks again.
Thanks for letting me know that. I looked around online to see how to make it so that my game can run without the VX Ace RTP and I followed those directions as best as I could. I tested the new game file and it works on my computer, but I have no idea if it will run on a computer without the VX Ace RTP. Um... Hopefully it works without it now. Thanks for the tip!
