Thank you, and thanks for playing...!

Yee; well-done! Thank you for playing!!

Absolutely tense atmosphere, delivered by extremely effective writing. JJMcC delivers a relatively-sparse prose, which smoothly causes the reader to connect the dots, and become immersed in the story with blazing speeds. Not too verbose, but not lacking in detail.

You begin with a near-crippling sense of "oh, how am I going to get out of this one??" as the shells render a hellscape around you. However, the satisfaction of going from helpless to Mark-Watney levels of resourceful is incredible.

Above all: You do not need to be an enthusiast of the World War I era to understand what is going on. The game is written largely with accessible language, and fills you in on any details that support immersion and understanding.

Play this.

The author put way too much effort into phrasing, word choice, pacing, and atmosphere for you to pass this up.

I came into this absolutely fascinated (and optimistic) by the beings on the game's cover, and totally missed the "eco-horror" tag. By the end, the text had me gripped by the heart.

If anybody wants an example of how to make the text engaging, without become try-hard, or obfuscated by a concentrated dose of style, then Riyadth is here. The words are painted, but never in your way.

Also, you get an amazing insight of the Bangla language!

Play this, you fool!

For the record, this is an excellent game.

Fair auditory warning though: The sound effects are very jarring for anyone who has high auditory sensitivity, for any reason (like me). The game is silent until it suddenly isn't, and the sounds are mixed to be rather loud, too. I had music playing in another tab to pad the silence, and my master volume at 50%, and this was still an issue. Let's just say that I'm extremely thankful that the player character pumps the shotgun before firing.

HOWEVER: Sound is not necessary to play! If your browser allows you to mute a tab's audio, then you can safely do so, without risk of taking a disadvantage!

AGAIN, this game is EXCELLENT. I'm extremely impressed by how interactive and engaging it is with its combat, given that it's choice-based. The game dev obviously took the quality time to optimize and polish this up for us.

I was told this was a shoot-em-up interactive fiction title; I had my doubts going in, but Sam Ursu absolutely delivered in style!

10/10

You know that hilarious stack of 27 effects modules, distributed across 3 or 4 mixer channels, and one of the channels is entirely a stack of 10 compressors? You know the maddening amount of time you spend fine-tuning to get this eldritch beast under control and nail that super-sweet brain-massaging distortion? You know how easy it is to lose your way or get major ear fatigue, only to return to the mix later just to hate how it sounds, and wonder where your life went so wrong?

This single plugin, for a very modest price, fixes literally all of that. No exaggeration. A lone Argent Compressor provides you with a very focused level of insane compression and distortion (anywhere from hellish and abrasive to honey-smooth) with a fine level of control to keep your workflow from spiralling out into sleepless nights. It's flexible, sounds better than the previous monster of effects stacks, and runs at literally a tenth of the CPU load (seriously, the CPU meter went from 85 to 11 after I cut out the previous monster and replaced it all with an Argent Compressor. That's including the CPU load for the 4 Harmor synths, and a master multiband compressor). Christmas came early for me!

Rip and tear your way into a better workflow. Seriously. More than worth the price.
