Well, a month and a bit into Vintage Oaks (game year 2, Farm Manager) and as I expected I'm absolutely loving it. Managed to apply the update and keep my save game. A bit of judicious xml editing and I was able to get all the new goodies and keep my save game (with some help from Easy Dev Controls). Sad to say I turned off the traffic because it broke the "80's vibe". Some vehicle modders out there need to gift FSB with some 70's and 80's vehicles :-)

I think I can safely say that of all the maps I've played in FS22 this is my favorite (narrowly beating out Calmsden because it's 4x).

FSB, So many many thank's for this map, I really hope you'll be able to convert this for FS25 because otherwise I'm going to be sticking with 22 for a long time.

What can I complain about (a grumpy old man, I need to complain a lot). Umm, nothing comes to mind at all.

Oh, I keep hearing helicopters and aircraft passing over but can never see them. Ahhhhhh now I feel better :-)

1980's appropriate (ish) equipment.

This is most of the era appropriate (or near enough) equipment I've found..

Maybe it'll save someone some time searching.

I thought I did, I was into the crop. Guess I just need to go a bit further. Thanks (loving it btw)

One little thing: As far as CoursePlay is concerned Field 20 is "not a field".

And I forgot to add - great idea adding "old" tires. I don't remember ever seeing a tractor with new tires when I was growing up in the 60's-70's - they were all covered en cuts and bits of tread missing.

I love this little tractor, such a willing little machine and perfect for my game on Vintage Oaks and period approprate + I remember seeing one or two around when I was young(er).

Oh, a question: Do I need to save and reload every time I buy farmland or a farm (I usually start with zero and work my way up buying land and farms as and when I can afford them).

Absolutely love The Oaks and fully expect to absolutely love this map as well. Enormous thanks to FsB for so much work and such a loving recreation of Norfolk countryside.

(1 edit)

Thank you, it works!

It is kind of sensitive though as is the nodding and head shaking. It maybe my mouse but it often takes several (distracting) attempts to get the speed and accuracy of the mouse movements right. Maybe as an alternative we could simply have a clickable option "Yes" "No" "Assume the position" etc? Or just keyboard options Y/N O=Obey?

Of course different folk will like different input methods but surely providing alternatives would do no harm (as long as they don't conflict with each other)?

About to play the full game so I'll see how I get on :-)

Got to the point where I'm told "Arms behind your head" - no idea how to do that playing with a keyboard and mouse????

Demo looked good up to that point but not so keen on buying the full game if I can't play it without VR (and I assume there are more complex movements to be found later!
