Awesome, I was waiting for this to be on Steam to pick it up! Does the Steam version also come with a GBA ROM, or is it the enhanced version only? I couldn't find this information on the Steam page.

Thanks!

Another great entry. I replayed this one for 2023. Hoping for something new in 2024 :)

We sat down and finished it in one sitting. Very cute! I love that there is a train to ride around your town! I can see myself coming back next year to redecorate my town. Thank you!

Nice! The gameplay feels just right, and the graphics are nice and clean. Love the world map. I thought that the Coal Stocking power-up was thematically perfect, too! Everything is so incredibly polished, it's just a shame the demo is so short!

If I had some suggestions for multiplayer:

  • It would be more fun if you could bump into each other or jump on each others' heads, like in New Super Mario Bros Wii. My wife and I are both good at platforming games, so we like to compete and try to mess with each other :P
  • I hope there is a way to respawn if one player dies early on in the level!

Looking forward to the full game!

This is legit one of the best Christmas games on itchio! Short and sweet. Really polished gameplay (although weirdly hard at parts), really beautiful graphics and storybook pictures, and nice music. All-in-all, a great li'l package! Thank you!

Oh, wow, thank you!!! My wife and I got stuck on that level, but now we’re gonna give it a second go and finish it this time ☺️☺️☺️

It was a pretty enjoyable playthrough. Short and sweet. Cute aesthetics! It took a bit to get used to the air controls. I wish the polar bears would be my friend.

Wow, this had way more levels than I thought it would. Gave me some Baba is You vibes. Awesome stuff, really enjoyed it!

Really nice and clean graphics. And cute intro poem, I love that it was voiced!

I liked the intro cutscene! The partying snowmen were funny and cute.

Pretty hard! The background scrolls so fast that it gives me a headache, but I made the window smaller and it helped. My high score was 26. I liked the nice touch that the music didn't reset when I died so I could listen to the whole song.

P.S.: Avoid gifts? But doesn't Santa want gifts? 😜

I played to unlock Ordainment Man, but I wish I saved up for Snowball instead. I wish I could fire more than one bullet at a time! I thought it was funny that every enemy you defeated had a name.

Wife and I both laughed at this. Short, sweet, and lovable! Thank you <3

I liked it! Exploring to find the key was fun, and the levels were nicely laid out. I think it could use more checkpoints at the treadmill and swinging platform part, though! Also, I figured out you could sprint a little too late, lol. Nice music, simple controls, and some nice clean graphics. Good!

Very cute, and very chill music. My wife and I liked it. Thanks for capturing some of the coziness of the holidays!

<3 Looking forward to playing this during meetings

The sound effects... the animations... yes, this fills me with joy.

Excellent! You nailed the UI for Picross--very responsive controls (which are surprisingly important when solving these puzzles quickly!). This has become my most-played Playdate game.

The only thing that's missing for me are some nice minimalist sound effects when navigating, filling, and marking. Also, I can't wait for the Playdate SDK to get network functionality so we can upload our puzzles :)

Great work. It was a steal at $2!

What a blast! I love this mod so far. The weapons all feel fantastic. I love that you've incorporated the verticality of the Castlevania games into this!

Same situation for me on my 165 Hz monitor, only on the HTML 5 version. I made it to the 5th level  The downloaded version ran fine. Felt almost like slow-mo, so I beat it in 15 fails ;)

Oh. That makes sense. Now I feel better about making it to level 5 on my 165Hz monitor... I thought it was pretty punishing...

Thanks so much for the recommendation, kind words, and blog post! I watched your playthrough as well, you crushed it :)
