Interesting game, cool mechanics. It was a bit hard to control with gamepad because the tutorial said right and lift triggers, but it was actually right and left bumpers, and my bumpers are pretty awkward to use, but keyboard worked well.

La demo 2 ya salió, y está en Steam si lo quiere jugar allá: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3482870/Gravity_Storm__First_Mission/
As you haven't played much, you might not realized this, but the dash is intended to be a complementary mechanic and it's almost never required, also it would break the leve design if you could dash in the air all the time; however, you can actually dash in the air using the super dash. Removing the jump button would be a little too drastic, it would require me changing the level design a lot, if you play more, you might realize that. I'm glad you had fun playing the game tho!
Thank you all who tested the game and found all those annoying bugs. There was even this guy who made a video to show me all the bugs he found, which I highly appreciate:
If you haven't tried demo 2, please go ahead and download it here on itch.io or play on your browser on gxgames. I wish I could make a function browser version of the game on here, but that's gonna take a while.
If you like the game, you might want to join my discord server where you can be up to date with Gravity Storm, you can even share your own games and art. You can support the game on ko-fi, you can also donate here on itch.io. Game development is time consuming and can be pretty expensive.
Here's a list of all the changes I have made since I released demo 2:
v1.2.1 UPDATE:
- Typo corrections
- Blue turret enemy shooting too fast, fixed.
v1.2.2 UPDATE:
- Super dash is 10 frames longer
- A secret/Easter egg was added.
- fixed getting stuck into wall (maybe).
- fixed laser coming out the wrong place when doing a superheroes landing.
- fixed black screen that appears when pressing ESC in the title menu.
- fixed staying transparent after getting hit and using the super gravity flip (fire ball attack).
v1.2.3 UPDATE
- Fixed flying yellow enemy in level 2.
- A sound effect added when you hit an enemy with the fire ball mid-air.
- Some typos corrected.
- Orange platform and level 1 moved up by 16 pixels.
- Blocks added in level 4 to fill gap.
Never give a release date unless you are 100% sure you are going to release your game in that date. The full release of Gravity Storm was supposed to be in October, and here we are in November releasing another demo. There has been many delays and problems, but let's be positive and have some fun with demo 2 of Gravity Storm - First Mission, which comes with a lot of changes.
You can play Demo 2 on your browser, but it's a bit unstable here, it might take 5 minutes to load and I'm not sure it's free of bugs, so you can play it on your browser on Gxgames, or download it here on Itch, downloading it is the most stable way to play it. So go play the game, break it, find bugs, but don't forgot to have fun!
I was experimenting some performance issue, which I think it's because my pc is not very powerful, but given how simple looking the game is, I think you should work on optimizing it.
In some parts if the game I noticed that I couldn't see the goal, and I died in place where there were no clear hazard or pit, I am guessing it was intended to keep the player from getting stuck, but I think adding spikes would be a less confusing solution.
There is more you can do with the main mechanic of course, it's a very good mechanic for a game and I had fun using it. it reminded me of Leo's fortune, which has a very similar premise. I think the game is fun and has potential, keep it up!
I think the game can be very fun, but I find it visually exhausting because of all those effects, filter and particles. Also, so level might be a bit too hard, I skipped a couple. The first time the box is introduced, I think it's a bit too hard because you have to pull it and then push it from different sides, otherwise you get stuck and I don't think that's very intuitive for the introduction of a new item. Otherwise, Impresiva game.
