Thanks! I really do appreciate you taking the time to play the game. A buggy mess indeed, but a social issue which I struck deeply with me which is why I went ahead with this game instead of my area expertise of more movement based games. Thanks again and good luck with your game. (I heard Bob's backpack is entirely normal xD)

Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to explore the mechanics of this admittedly shallow game. I didn't have enough time to balance the bars, and actually would have preferred to hand-make the videos to create a smoother experience overall in slowly providing that transition as you described of the eventually numbly consuming content and being brainwashed. I'm glad you liked the concept, and I am considering on actually doing it properly on a more suitable engine in future. Thanks again for the feedback and good luck with your game. (I loved your spin on the theme. Really reversed all my expectations on gaming with one simple twist of releasing to do an action)

This game is actually brilliant! - What a creative twist. It really requires completely retraining deep-rooted habits in gaming and maintaining perfect focus. The idea of the gun having to reload is also genius. Definitely hits the target of "roles reversed". I really hope this gets more reviews because this is a well-rounded and polished game. Love it!

Thank you. Took way too long and probably would have been faster to learn Unreal and then code than use Scratch's limited feature-set (I did use a mod of Scratch called TurboWarp so that did help). I'm glad also you found the tutorial helpful. It was a very last minute addition but glad I got the chance to add it. I would have preferred a more straightfoward/understandable interface but it is what is is. Thanks again and good luck with your game (love the mechanics of just spawning icebergs and watching the ensuing chaos!)

Very fun! Spawning icebergs underneath ships to cause them to do backflips was definitely satisfying - which created more chaos when they start colliding. Would love to see a future version with more complex enemies and mechanics.

Thanks for the feedback and I agree - a lot more work is needed on the actual mechanics end. I would have prefered better communication with the player using the notification panel but didn't get time to code it. Perhaps in a future version. Good luck in your game and thanks again for playing.

Love this. The mechanics is quite intriguing. Just perfectly in that uncanny valley of this feels normal and this feels so unique. Really felt the "Reversed Roles" theme here.

Thanks - I too agree it's a bit overwhelming at first. I would have rather introduced each mechanic gradually but it is what it is. Appreciate you taking the time to play and I wish you luck on your game (Seriously - loved the style and music in your game!)

Thank you - I appreciate the feedback and I wish you luck for your game!

Love the game! The cheeky responses definitely hit a nerve xD.
Though I'll admit, it felt more "Out of control" rather than "roles reversed", nonetheless, I can see the thought-process and I enjoyed the style.
The music also was just perfect.

Note:

  • This project was intended to bring to light the risk of accidental polarisation of people due to social media companies chasing profit.
    • I had bigger expectations for this project but yeah, didn't reach that. (Perhaps in the next version on a proper engine)
  • This project was coded in Scratch. It obviously will not be good as a proper engine.
  • The buttons at the top ([Flag], [Pause/Play], [Stop]) are part of the Scratch engine
    • Pressing [Stop] immediately ends the game
    • Pressing [Flag] starts/restarts game
    • Pressing [Pause/Play] Temporarily pauses game until pressed again
  • There ARE SOUNDS EFFECTS. So be aware if you have your volume up.
    • The menu doesn't work so mute, dark mode etc. don't work unfortunately
  • The "Political Alignment" dial should show Red-Blue but didn't in this version. Take the left-side (Red) as favouring Red Party and right-side (Green) as favouring Blue Party

How to play:

  • A tutorial is included (press [2] on the loading screen)

Discovered bugs:

  • The dials can be wonky
    • Sometimes they don't accurately show the value of a particular stat (I noticed this esp. for the political alignment dial)
  • The timer
    • It starts alarming when below 0
    • The game ends if timer goes below -7
  • Menu
    • It doesn't work
