I originally designed it to do 70 clicks because when I started making the game, it was too easy. I made the rest of the upgrade signs after coding the first level.  But all the levels after level 1 were way too easy, so i tried to re-balance the numbers.

even though it says 50% off, you are charging 12 and reducing it to 6.  I made the clicks turn into stock because I thought it would add more of a challenge and I originally made the upgrade signs on my laptop at high res and converted it to 8bit style.  I used 16 colors mostly for simplicity but also because it would actually feel quite 8bit.

Source Code & Love2D Linux/OSX/Windows & Win32/Win64 Stand Alone Launcher JavaScript is also setup to run as an electron app.

Lua - Love2D

JavaScript - Canvas2D

Note:

This game was written entirely by my 9yo son Jeremiah. All code and art work was his creation. One of the 2 songs is also his creation. My only input was 1 or 2 small bugs and in helping to balance the stock/money rate. He wrote it in Lua. I ported his code over to JavaScript to the best of my ability and created the stand alone binaries for win32, win64 and the generic love zip.

This game was developed by my 9yo son Jeremiah as his first game jam. It was created on his laptop in ArchLinux in KDE Plasma. Most of the coding was done in Kate but he did randomly use VSCode. The artwork was a rendering of earth in Blender he made in the past, pixelated and edited in Kolourpaint. The rover, ship and the player sliding created in Kolourpaint. The player running in an edited version of the love2d running tutorial image.

The background is using the dark blue color fill so it shouldn't be purple. The images are krita then rendered as there native size in png. There is no filters or overlays on this game.

I'm looking at the screen shots compared to the other project and it does look the way i meant it to. It's meant to be in a dark blue ocean like some meters down. It's not meant to be dark but the water is meant to be dark blue is that what you see?

Strange it felt much to bright on my laptop. But the photos I uploaded did look much to dark. Not sure why this is.

archlinux. I tried making it executable. I think its a x86 not a 64bit and will only execute on a x86 system. The errors I got are about architecture incompatibility

Evolve from a Proto-Life to a Late Carnivore, Omnivore or Herbivore. Evolve is my first original game. You will need PyGame installed. To run it type python Evolve.py. Red is Carnivore and Blue is Herbivore. If you mix them you get an Omnivore. If you contact a predator you will loose health and be shielded for 3 seconds. You must eat to unlock the next evolution. The Food and Enemies for each species are different. Thank you.

Linux version works on Arch Linux.

Alchemist_lin.x86 can not be run in linux. It claims the file doesn't exist. changed to executable and tried renaming it several times. it always claims the file doesn't exist. Even clicking on it errors and says the  file doesn't exist. Tried downloading and extracting twice.
