I had this same experience on 0.4.45 Windows. FWIW I had beat the final boss 3x in a row.
Hey, great game! Am I misunderstanding carrots? They are giving 3x points on corn, and triggering adjacent carrots. The description says they only trigger corn and tomatoes, and give 2x.
Likewise, I don't see how to download the demo/game.
