are there more than two endings?

basically you need to gather all the evidence to solve the mystery and then accuse the right person, that unlocks the path towards the good ending which includes the beast's maw stuff with brandon

played this game a while ago but only got around to reviewing it now since I just made the itch account.

So firstly let's address the elephant in the room that is the roster, or I guess the lack of one.  finding out there were fewer women than what was featured in one was disappointing even knowing that there was a genuinely good reason for doing so.  That said as I thought about it I figured the real concern wasn't if there were as many as I wanted, I'd want more even if there were more, the question is if it's enough for the game to not feel empty and it isn't. 

Honestly I find that I prefer the quality over quantity approach.  Fewer girls but each one has a story that you learn and play a part in and that does alot more for me.  As does all the different animations for all the scenes.  I don't want to say that 2 had too many characters but alot of them kinda felt more like cardboard cutouts and after a while of playing the busywork did get to be a bit much.

As for this game while I liked most of them (Ellie was my favorite) there were two women I didn't particularly like.  First is the cameo from the first game who I will not spoil but just say I am not a fan of that character archetype.

Second was Helen Smith, and her brother by extension, though mostly her.  I think I get what the bit is with them, though I hope I am not putting words in your mouth.  Subversion of the genre of porn that has racist person turned into a willing sex toy for the race they were formerly attacking.  Also going by context a not so subtle bit of you showing your distaste with people who keep bringing Brandon's race, and I assume race in general, into stuff.  I can appreciate that, hell I love that Brandon doesn't take that path with the breeding fetish, but hearing somebody unironically scream racial epithets at their innocent co-workers, and brandon, and Nero, even if its to show that they are a bad person, is still not fun to read through.

As for some smaller stuff:  the guide when I checked it has multiple things referring to a page but never got the number filled in.  Beyond that the pinchy hand Icon is fun to mess with on the static images but it also blends in too much on black areas making it inconvenient,  I guess next time have Nero wear white gloves or something?

I actually don't know what I want from a sequel and I think that's kind of a testament to the writing.  Don't want Nero to fail, apparently I am one of like 10 people who is happy about the fact that their ending doesn't have a particular something, and am wondering about the implications.  All the effort they are going through to do something that is genuinely good and heroic just to fail would kinda suck.  I don't want Brandon to fail either given we've played as him for two games and in some ways he's not the real villain.  The world is shown to be deeply corrupt in these games and something is bubbling beneath the surface and I am just curious and eager to see where its all headed.
