I love the mood. This is great. I was a bit disapointed by the controls. I found I could push and arrow key to move the whale down, but that feels wrong. It feels like only the down arrow should move it down.
I learned a lot of new words, too!

Thank you for the feedback. The "press any key" bug is new. I'll try to fix that. You're right that the jump floats too much. This is the first time I've tried to make a metroivania and I'm blown away by who difficult it is to get a good feeling player controller. I want to improve the feel of the jump so it is more responsive and the gravity is stronger.

I've been programming professionally for over a decade, and I've been using unity as a hobby for about 5 years. I've never released a game. I'd love to make a little metroidvania game. I'm a big fan of the genre, going all the way back to the original NES games. I'm looking for a small team to work with. I'd like to focus on making a small game that can be completed in a few weeks.
