Thank you! I did find a slapdash work around, by having two different lines of text,  using the wait and no-wait functions {w=} {nw}. One line has a word with the glitch tag, the other has no glitch. When played together, the first line of text appears normal, delayed for a second, then swaps to the next line when it hits the word with the glitch effect.

Makes it look like the text gets deleted and replaced with a brief glitch effect as it happens. It looks exactly like I wanted and It wouldn't have worked without your code! Thank you.

Been playing with this pack and I love it.
Quick question: Is there a way to have an effect play for a few seconds and then STOP, going back to normal text? Or even pause for a few seconds before the effect occurs? I'm trying to find a way to have a line of dialogue where the character is a glitching robot, and I want to find a way for him to speak a line of dialogue, only for a few words to glitch out and be replaced by new words, as if he is spell checking himself in real time.
I have been scrolling through your code and can't seem to find what controlls the 'repeat' or 'loop' functions.

Mostly just my own hubris, assuming I could have gotten this done faster. Demo 2.0 is all finished, it is just being proof-read before publishing! Probably a few more days at most.

What a wonderful demo! I actually had a lot of fun taking notes and asking questions about each piece of info i found.

I would love to play the full version and I had some critiques/recommendations

I came across 1 glitch while playing. I posted the [DISPOSE OF] note on the board and connected it to a red string. After a while it disappeared. There was a red string flying into the wall and vanishing.

I may have gone a little overboard with the strings but that was half the fun. However I couldn't see some information  behind the strings, maybe having an option to make them transparent or they disappear when you zoom in would be nice.

The radio, the phone and the tv were all nice little touches. I wanted a lot more interactive elements in the office. If you have the time it would be cool to see more things in the environment you can manipulate. Changing the channel on the tv, changing the station on the radio, maybe a black light on the desk that can be turned on and off to look for clues on certain pieces of paper. The mood was the strongest point of this game and anything at amplifies the feeling of "being a detective" would be appreciated.

Amazing demo and the fact that I wish there was more is a good sign of it's potential.

The demo is actually pretty bare bones.

As of now the demo is about 1/10th of the total game length and a second demo covering the first third will be out shortly.

there is going to be a demo 2.0 coming soon. Demo 2.0 will be longer and have a 'pay what's you want' system so people can play for free or support the full game.

No pre-orders though, I am justone person not a triple A studio. I will be sure to post updates when the full version comes out.

A couple people have pointed that out and I have fixed it.

Apostrophes sometimes get messy when using multiple fonts and that happens from time to time with the pixely font I choose for the robots.

Additionally I have a patreon and backers get spoiler updates, the ability to beta test new versions, and all patrons get a free version of the final game.

I was also thinking  of releasing a demo 2.0 (that covers the first third of the game) + a digital art book that would be a 'pay what you want' to specifically cover the costs of commissioning the musician. 

Other than that I am just glad you enjoyed the demo. I hope you will enjoy the full version once I finish it.

I am glad that the caretakers came across that way. I was hoping the "are they really sentient or just mimicking human emotions?"  angel would create the proper air of uncertainty.

The game is hopefully going to be bigger and better once finalized.

A lot of backgrounds and music are placeholders and the art will get more detailed as it exits it's Beta.

I was hoping no one would notice the little visual glitch with Aunite. It is an issue with how the code layer sprites that I am still resolving but hopefully it will not be in the final version.

Also yes there are sprites for an uncorrupted Mother and functional Father for flashback scenes.
I will try my best to live up to your expectations.

I am still debating whether it should be 'donate what you want" or a flat rate.
I both want money for my time and effort but also I don't want to discourage people who would have played it if it was a little cheaper.
