Thanks - appreciate it!

Thanks! Happy to hear you liked it so much!

thanks! Let me know how it works out on the steam deck!

Hallo! I’ve gotten this from a few others as well. Itch states that only large bundles stop the steam keys from tagging along so I believe it should work. You might have to check with itch support to get a separate download page for picoCAD. If it doesn’t work, just let me know and we’ll work something out

thanks - really appreciate it

Thanks! The harder modes def takes both luck and some new strategies to beat. Good luck!

but probably!

still in the fence, but I hope so!

Still on the fence… 😳

Thanks! The soundtrack is here: https://soundcloud.com/vavsbargainbin/ascent

Thank you so much!

I'll look into it!

You can do it!

Thanks - glad you like it!

It is totally doable but it also needs a good portion of luck. A few things to tip the scales in your favour:
- prioritise matching cards on the table with each other instead of using the pile
- re roll the start layout until you get something which gets rid of most visible cards without having to draw from the stack
- keep pushing :)

glad you like it!

Enjoy!

This is a know issue if you have installed picoCAD in a path with special characters. Try installing/running it from root instead

At the moment the png is not released. Also a lot of pico8 emulators don't handle all the games, so best to use a proper pico8 installation.

Yes, absolutely on my todo-list. Just haven't gotten around to it.

Looking to get it out this fall, depending on demand and some things I need to fix :D

Hello! Glad to hear you like it!

An update could absolutely happen if there is enough new stuff. Anything else you're thinking of?

As the program is made in pico8, this is unfortunately not possible.

Thank you!

It is entirely made with pico8. As for the engine it uses a custom written verlet physics model.

New cart uploaded which addresses this!

aha! Must’ve missed that button somehow for the dpad controls. Does it resume properly if you restart it?

It is available now! :D

It is available now! :D

It is available now! :D

Happy to hear you enjoyed it! I don't play much roguelikes myself (for the same reasons) so I wanted to approach it from a newcomers point of view. A combination of a few simple but clear mechanics and an increasingly difficult cast of enemies perhaps? Small but overseeable dungeons? Lots of things probably, but the small scale of things is probably a main driver.

Glad you like it!

The program is made in pico 8 which is a pixel based software so crisp lines are automatic (there is no other way :) )

Totally forgot about it. :o Will add it when I'm back from travels.

Thanks!

Thanks!
You need a true pico8 build to run it on. Emulators won't work.

Cart with source is for patreons only I'm afraid!
Also, not distributing and png cart for this game since it requires mouse to use which most(!) handhelds don't have :D

Thanks!

<3

what a delightful play through! Thank you so much, I had a ton of fun watching!

Thanks!

There is a limit per sequencer, but you can use switches to have multiple sequencers play one after another.

You can also use the tuner gear to change octave (or whatever interval your after)
