Art design is really good too

Fun concept! Idk the extent of playtesting before the first release but the first improvement I'd like to see as a player would be a fix for the menus, second improvement as a player would be removing the ability to spam click and get a ton of points super fast, third thing I can think of would be adding some sort of a harder level to showcase what the game might become rather than showcase just the very start. I'd like to see how this game plays out as this very early demo is pretty fun for what it is. One idea I have for how some difficulty could be added just with the music would be like "The crowd is expecting a slower song here" to give you less energy to use since there's more time between the beats.
I love this game, very reminiscent of Yume Nikki to me, great character designs, and also the file names are funny. I especially find the all capital letters "anime" in the files of the anime looking characters. perhaps a manly badass hero shoutout? either way funny, and the story is great, good fighting against purgatory theme going on as far as I can tell. the font is cool too. 10/10 for me honestly.
so I fixed a syntax error you made in gabrial's rpy file blocking me from talking with her only to find that the image of a character that you wanted to display was mislabled as there's only the placeholder of it. by the way the solution to the error on line 14 is to put two equal signs instead of one
also, after forgetting to save and having to the haggis quest, I got stuck on when I made a bet with Flora? the guide just kept telling me to Flora the desk after I did it, shooting mad hoops with the world didn't fix it, and neither did giving Isabelle the book about manners.
My personal (barely educated on the subject matter) guess is that it's something to do with variables that are always "saved" in the system, but I'm no professional so it's like a 20/80 chance I'm right
I love the contrast of the music, it's hilarious to me for some reason. either you're driving a Ford F1 50, in a futuristic night club, or on a romantic date and it really helped me get through some of the more disturbing parts of the story.
Also the story is actually fairly engaging, I've never been great at reading large amounts of text but I still experienced this rollercoaster as best as I can, and I'm still goin'.
(seriously though, the all the purposeful cliche in the story really makes me laugh, in a good way.)
this is a gem if you have a sense of humor such as mine and are able to stomach the more serious parts (maybe put some more warnings for the first couple of times some weird stuff happens, just looking out for those more sensitive<3!)
