I basically said everything on tumblr but I'm going to write here too. I'm honestly so in love with this game, it hit me in the feels so fast and hard I cried a little during it. I can straight up feel the love and work that went into this game and it makes me feel so warm and cozy in some way? During the game I had such a strong feeling of comfort from Van and I'm sort of just sitting here going "I'm so gay" over and over again but back to the comfort feeling. I don't know how but Van gives such a sense of comfort but also a sense of nostalgia in some way I can't explain. I'm basically rambling but holy I'm so in love I can't word it normally.

I'm honestly just, very comforted in a way by the game. The art is so beautiful, the writing and editing is so well done and Van just gives such a sense of comfort I can't explain it at all but if there was someone I needed in life it's Van please I'm so gay and in love.

I can just feel the love behind the game and it makes me so happy. <3 This was very ramble-y but I just gave my thoughts unfiltered. In short, the comfort and love behind the game makes me so warm and cozy and I would very much ramble to my friends about this game for hours.

I always come back to Ascendance often because it always lingers in my head. The plot is new (for me) and the ideas of the Y are unique!! I like that in the beginning we can pick whether we're a night owl or early bird, or if we are usually late or early to class, it just adds a little flavour to the text and makes it feel just a little more real ya know? 

Not to mention our friends Thomas and Emma (who both have one part of my heart) and how the three of us just fit together like puzzle pieces. It feels nice and reminds me of my own friends.

Elya's entrance is just wow. My first reaction though was just "they can walk through doors what" but its a fun thing to read. I keep thinking that he just stands outside the door though-

Ian's entrance always confused me since I honestly thought he went in through the window (seems like something Ian would do ngl). Waiting for the day we throw something at him because he scares us fr.

Joana's entrance is just MMMM. The emotions I can feel in it, and you can tell apart each different emotion based on the way the text it written. It's just *chefs kiss*.

The writing itself is just so good. There can the obvious and the hidden in it where it isn't too much or too little, just right. The writing style gives me light academia vibes (note: huge fan of light and dark academia aesthetics) and sort of some poetry vibes (another note: I love poetry too). The writing really ties in well with the plot and the way the characters are written are always so good!!

If you have time to play Ascendance I recommend you do! Lou is such a good writer and story creator, you'll get immersed pretty quickly and you'll forget that this is only part one! Part one!! I honestly forgot it was only part one until I got to the end and I can't wait for more. Not only that but there can be platonic or romantic ways to go with the routes which is always so nice to see!

Rambling time (you can skip this) !!

Both Lou and I have followed each other since around July of last year and every time I see Ascendance pop up on my timeline I've never been so happy. Lou can always find a way to real you back into the story of Ascendance somehow and that's how I know I'm going to enjoy the game a lot. Ascendance has always been a safe space for me and for others too, the game gives me so much comfort. It gives me a warm feeling and reminds me of the good times from ages ago (I'm not that old I swear).

I can't put into words how much the game means to me and others. If there's one thing I'm thankful for, it's for Lou making Ascendance. No matter how long it takes for the game to be finished I'll be here ready to continue playing and I'll still continue to play ever once the game is finished and won't be updated.

man, im reading the comments as if im not also refreshing every 2 seconds. but honestly im so excited for the update

I just got finished with the demo, and HOLY, THAT ENDING CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD! The art is so nice and I just, I can't. It's so pretty, the little animations too and such nice details that I hardly see in games. All the characters are so interesting too!

The layout looks great too, I'm looking forward to the finished game!

I've been playing for only a day and I'm in love with the story. The way you describe the surroundings and characters is amazing! There's so much detail even in the more minor characters just brings it to life, the story is amazing and the attention to detail spectacular. The work you put into the story really admirable, the story is a lovely experience!
