you know, somehow I feel this game delivered on its promises, but I'm unsure what the promise was

It's an ok game. The level design is good at first glance, but the spikes right before the key come up way too frequently and the save points are few and far between, and don't save if you've got the key or not. The jump is way too floaty to be any accurate, and the lack of a shadow beneath you makes it very hard to gauge where you will land, especially after that super jump pad. The last stretch of the game being so difficult and essentially save-point-less made me quit before I could reach the end. Oh and you can control the player with a controller, but not the camera. It would be very fun if the camera controls were mapped to the right stick on the controller.
There's a fun game hiding under these problems, though
Right, I saw that after posting the comment, as well as the bonus puzzles. The game seems to struggle a lot at rendering 15x15 grids, leading to a lot of dropped inputs. Perhaps consider not updating tiles that can't be interacted with anymore? If that's even possible, I don't know how it's coded backstage. Also, it would have been way easier to keep track of which row/column the square my mouse was on if the corresponding labels on the left/top had been highlighted, just like the tile.
Anyhow, I played through it in an evening with a friend and we had a blast. Thank you for making it!
