Here's a lengthy review, so grab a snack and sit tight (spoilers?) ;

I played the demo and so far the art style is so wonderful. The characters are drawn with each their own unique style and personality already seeping through (all of them are already my favourites). I particularly love the attention to details (aka : the blood splatters drawn on the clothes, additionally you could splatter the screen as well for added effect). As well as the display of different arrays of facial expression, which add dynamic to gameplay.

I hope the choices will be meaningful and have consequences in the final product of the game. To which I say, I love the mobile version than a PC one for a VN game. (FYI : I have injury on my back and sitting in front of a computer hurts my back a lot. So to have the possibility to play under the covers while lying down is way better for me).

At the end, the 'character creation' sequence is nice. I know the game wants to be LGBT+ friendly but I find the choice in pronouns important. Because some games actually do it by not addressing the main character at all throughout the story. And it feels like the MC is drowned out.

As for the writing, it is true that the grammar and punctuation is still to be worked on. So far, the description of environment and scene aren't dull and pointless, and the writing is quite immersive and descriptive. Though it would be nice to see a description of what the main character feels (impressions?) upon seeing the others characters too. It gives depth and personality to the MC.

The mature NSFW aspect of the story is quite refreshing, and is very much welcome. Personally, I prefer the MC to be quite innocent (not stupid or made of stone dense-ity) in a VN, I feel like a MC that is so, would totally be totally hilarious in contrast to the dirty swearing pirates and to the fish-man aboard.

(Here I go rambling ...)

Imagine if the clueless and barbarian MC was actually a kidnapped woman in some isolated and lost island in the middle of nowhere, instead of a would be pirate ? That HAS to learn to live with humans and pirates alike. And to have to learn that the fish-man is not for eating (unless?)

(End of rambling ...)

As for bugs, (1) the description for the 'go right' option is cut off when you try to escape the cells, (2) when Leo (the white haired man) comes to talk to the MC, he appears behind the bars, so I could not see his face at all.

Thank you for reading. I really look forward for this game. Good luck Wet Willy (ew).
