Root is associated with the Deer man, try to approach him while playing as Root, go with the flow and you should be fine.

[ SPOILED ] [EDIT]

So, with this update, what I discovered so far is:

1. You can recruit up to 2 companions, and their turn acts separately.

2. Root's nerf is making her have to rely on luck (too much luck) in the early game.

2.1 Root's Deer Man boss are ridiculously weak compared to the previous giga-chad Deer Man from Ver0.5.

3. The Moon upgrades are useful! Especially the Corruption, you can farm tons of basic items! This makes the game more Rogue-lite (it makes the game easier).

4. Luna is pretty broken, as she can break the game mechanics (not actually break, but developers intended, I guess).  With Luna, I discovered that our maximum HP is 45 ( permanent+non-permanent).

5. After you reset with Luna's axe, your ability to Talk and Trade is carrying over, but most of zone 1 and zone 2 enemies don't have special dialogue when the player tries to talk or trade (in zone 2) to them. I suggest adding some.

6. Luna's axe can make you fight the zone bosses again, but weirdly, the NoEye-Soft boss will not appear again with this method, and you just go straight to the default_enemy zone.

7. The maximum number of items in your inventory seems to be unlimited; this affects the QoL when players try to find some duplicate items to use multiple at once in a turn (especially after you pick the "Miracle").

8. Hence the 7th, Ver0.6 featured the importance of order of items in your inventory and mechanic that involves around non-permanent HP. I love this!

 9. The Four Crimson Creature is interesting! I believe not everyone will discover this but still, impressive!

When does this feature that allows to fight the crimson creatures is added? This seems to exist around ver 0.4
