Hahaha, that's awesome, mate! You're right, the "" define the positions of the characters in the party. Technically, you could create a party of 20 members and still enter combat, but everything else might break since the game wasn't designed for that.
And hey, if you're into meddling with files, don't stop at just the save games! I'm uploading updated documentation on dialogues, so you can tweak and create whatever you like. If you come up with something cool, I'd gladly consider adding it to the game. =D
Cheers!
Thanks so much for the support, mate! I’ve put a lot of effort into making each race feel unique. There are over 350 skills available, which can be unlocked either by purchasing them in towns or through use. Plus, the relationships between your characters evolve as they interact with each other.
I’ve also just finished working on the events for the Infinite Caves, Ruins, and Evil Centers, so I'd love to hear your thoughts on those.
Right now, I’m focusing on developing a Quest Engine, which will add even more depth. I plan to include Town Contracts (like Endless 1), events triggered on the map (similar to Battle Brothers), character objectives, and big branching quests, among other things.
Your support means a lot to me. Cheers! =]
Hey, mate! Thanks a lot for playing Endless RPG and taking the time to share your thoughts! Let me address each of your points. =]
Character customization:
If you uncheck the "Filtered" option under "Looks," you can choose any options regardless of race.
Combat:
Oh! In Endless 2, attacks always hit. The Guard mechanic acts as a shield that needs to be depleted before damaging health (well, in 90% of the cases, lol). Ward can stack on top of Guard, and Guard can regenerate based on Speed, Level, and Skills. ^_~
Progression:
Yeah, the early game is challenging, especially without the starting quests and tutorials, which are currently in the works. The plan is to make those initial quests guide your party to level 2. For now, here’s how you can level up:
- Kill rats on the map.
- Venture into the Infinite Caves.
- Explore level 1 Ruins.
- Spar or Forage with your party members.
Obelisks are tied to specific types when discovered and recharge every 5 days.
Mood:
You can make the characters chat to each other and improve the Mood. There is also a relationship mechanic is at play. So you can make everyone have a relation to each other and the relation have levels that improve as you keep interacting with them. There are also potions that improve the mood aaaaand, well, you found the tavern, but each drink is different based on the Town's Race, have you find them all?
Thanks again for playing my game. Ask me anything and I will respond as soon as I can.
Cheers! =]
Of course, here are the results: https://imgur.com/8NQTYj7
But I'm not an artist in any way, shape or form, I'm just a developer. I will probably have to hire a contractor to make the sprites to look better, but that's the general idea. Some are even animated. =]
Hi, wops, I meant commision, sorry. Ok, I will keep your itch.io link at hand or, if you prefer, send me a contact that I could reach you.
I made Endless RPG and I'm already doing another itereation of it. I'm looking for tiles for the world. Cheers! =]
