Sliming Away community · Created a new topic Coming Back

Hello everyone,

After thinking about it, I don't really want to leave this project that people seemed to enjoy behind, and I would like to continue it, but at one condition : I'll redo it from scratch so it's better.

Yes, as promised, there will be multiplayer and a level editor, maybe not directly on release, but surely a bit later.
Though the game won't be available anymore on Itch.io, only the demo, and that or a simple reason :
I'm gonna publish it on Steam and use Steam for the multiplayer and workshop parts !

I hope you will enjoy that new version, not very much will change for the players, except the physics, which will be more realist, but for me many things will change, the game will be way easier to make now.

Ah okay, thank you then !

I've read the EULA to see what I can do with the things I create with this app, I saw the prohibited case of use of the assets are if I wanna make a clone of this app, but if I wanna make a video game that I will sell later, I do have the rights to use the assets ?

Sliming Away community · Created a new topic Sorry

To everyone who wanted to see more of this demo,

well, I was working on the game, I did add a bit of level editor, and I added multiplayer, but I lost interest in it, it isn't really a game I do enjoy making, especially since that's not the kind of game I love to play. Sorry to anyone who is disappointed.

I will abandon it for now, maybe later I'll do a brand new better version of this game, but for now I'm working on other projects that I enjoy doing more than Sliming Away !

Ok thank you very much!

I've been wanting to use these assets for my game, but as I'm using Godot I need to use directly the source files, and in the source files there are strictly no .mtl files, even though the OBJs ask for them

Hello everyone, as the title says, I'm sorry for being silent for so long.

I've been quite busy and out of mood to continue working on games, but I've decided to come back.

Later in the beginning of this year (I can't give a date because I'm not good at respecting these), I'll publish a big update with 2 new features :
- Online multiplayer
- Level editor and custom levels

I can't tell when I'll have finished this because I'm still a beginner in game dev and need to learn how to makes these, but this update should arrive this year, even if it's not completely finished ! (Yes it's a very large time range, but as I said, it's so that I don't give any real date because I know I won't be able to respect these lol)

I hope I'm not disappointing anyone

See you later this year !

Okay thank you, do we also have the right to modify if needed? Because we're making a game and need customizable assets. Also, we won't resell your assets, just use them and maybe modify if you accept.

I'm going to check these assets later today.

What's the license? Can I use these in commercial projects? (of course I'll credit you if I use them)

(2 edits)

I'm using it in my first game (commercial), I'm gonna publish it soon. We might need more tilesets, would you accept commissions ? (I'll of course donate for this one ^^) (I'm also crediting you in the main menu)
