I love the simple and cute art style of this game, the gameplay was also simple but had a very nice loop to it; Much like what Jack pointed out, there is a chance that the avoidance entities can just spawn near or on top of the player which immediately can end your run.
My highest score was 47. Pretty solid experience, I also took notice that a manual was included which was very cute. Especially the in-game UI which explained what was good, and what was to be avoided. Very good work, I personally see this game being one of the top.

Hi, thanks so much for the feedback!
I do agree the game was lacking very clear direction, there were supposed to be dialogue that helped indicate where to go through the character's thought; there is a pathway on the ground but it's quite difficult to notice in the darkness, so we'll figure out what we can do to make it more clear. There is a monster that does run through the forest, but good direction would've certainly helped with being able to notice it much more easily haha.
The endless darkness isn't intentional, we never finished the level so the colliders would inevitably allow you to just walk around the terrain; colliders was to ensure the player didn't wander too much in the forest, but we're considering removing that limitation in what may be the branched out product if we decide to take this prototype further! A real shame about the ambience music though, thought I had that looping.
