I'd heard the game was good going in but I'm very pleasantly surprised! The shield mechanic is a lot of fun to master and the game as a whole feels super polished. Fantastic soundtrack as well. Really looking forward to playing more!

WHY IS THIS REALLY GOOD

Thank you! I kinda forgot about explaining the controls in-game, I've updated the page to mention that they're in the readme for now.
I am planning to make a short full game out of this at some point, I'm working on something else right now but I'll definitely come back to this!

Really cool game! I'd love to see what a full RPG game could look like with this combat system, a deckbuilding system that lets the player choose what disks to bring into battles could be super neat. It was a bit confusing at first but I got the hang of it pretty quick. The characters and dialog were also quite charming, and I love the art!

Thank you! I actually only chose this name because I thought I was being funny by putting an eye on a piece of candy for my logo, I'm pretty terrible at art haha.

I was considering adding a focus button but I felt like that would make the controls a bit messy since shooting for too long also lowers your speed, which is where a lot of the risk-reward comes in for scoring. Then again, I kinda went overboard with the number of bullets in the latter half of the game, my goal at first was to have fewer but faster bullets. I guess I kinda lost control myself lol

Thank you! Z is actually pretty much the standard "confirm/shoot" button for this genre, but it was admittedly pretty foolish of me to not explain it in-game at least. For now, I've updated the game's page to explain things a little better!

Cool idea! The TV-heads were kinda glitchy for me, they'd often shoot in the opposite direction they were facing (or not at all), but otherwise it's a well done game with a fair bit of potential for a post-jam version. Graphics and sound were top notch for a jam game as well!

Since this is a very scoring-focused game, I thought I might as well make a thread for this. (not that I'm expecting anyone to care lmao)

Post a screenshot of your high score here and brag about it to your friends or something, idk.

Here's my score btw, not that it counts considering I kinda made the game.
(Ignore the lil yellow plus on the logo, I'm planning to make a post-jam version but all I've done so far is change the logo lol)

Really? That's weird... I can assure you that the game is virus-free but I understand if you'd rather not play it anyway.
