Thank you! And yeah, I know what you mean. One almost wants to lose to hear the senpai speak :D There is a bunch of voice lines!

Thank you :) And yeah, we found this "optimization" as well! If you try the "challenge mode" we implemented the cooldown there! (basically meaning that if you slap in a direction too soon, you will not have an opportunity to slap in that direction again before the contact, and that you can slap only in one direction at a time)

Thank you!! Really happy you had fun with our game! :)

Thank you!! We are happy you enjoyed it! :)

OK, this was a lot of fun and something new :) I was astounded how fast I forgot what sounds I was making just seconds ago and failed to replicate them :D Really liked both endings. It really was obvious in the retrospect, but I guess we are all so used to how games work, it won't be anybody's first method of approach.

Small issue I found, I think I found the "happy ending," but the text in the bottom left of the screen appeared and disappeared so fast I didn't manage to read it even on the second try :(

Thank you! Copied over the dll from the submission here to the .exe from the link you provided and the fixes are there. I got farther now when the characters in the inventory are there. But not much farther because there is a lot of combinations and my musical hearing is still non-existent :D

It is difficult, but for me it hit the "hard but enjoyable" spot just right. It was a fun challenge where every time I played it I got a little farther, so it was rewarding. I think I spent around 25 minutes playing it.

One thing that was a bit frustrating was the first alien. You have to hit them with either the first or second stone, and there is a hill in the way that makes it pretty hard. So if this first guy was a little slower, or the hill was not so much in the way, first time players would probably find it a little bit more enjoyable.

This was a lot of fun! Couldn't put it down until I escaped :) And it is cool to see that there is somebody else who took on the "first contact" a little differently like we did :)

This is really cool! Making the gesture communication mechanic in 48 hours and having it work so smoothly is very impressive. And the voice over is cool and educational! But had to look it up and there are not 4 gas giants in out solar system. There are two and Uranus and Neptune are classifier as Ice giants! :D But I do see you just took the text from the linked article and are not spreading the "4 gas giants" propaganda :D

Ah! :D Awesome!

Really like the idea and visuals in this game! Unfortunately it doesn't run correctly on my PC. Have to start from command line to get it to start (console window size issue) and the font for the inventory doesn't work even after installing the HackFonts. Even so I got past the first obstacle! But I cannot get any further due to my lack of musical hearing :D Still really like the idea and creativity behind it :)

I'm sorry to hear that! When trying any new game it can take few seconds to find one's bearings. We recorded a lot of alien sounds, so if you try again, I'm sure you will enjoy it! :)

Thank you! We are really happy you enjoyed it! :) We really tried to make something happy and energic, and the music and sfx are a huge part of it working :)

Thank you! :)

Yes, the controls was the thing that was really stressing us out as the deadline approached! It could still use some polish. But nonetheless we are happy you like the game! :)

Yes, we tried a lot to get a proper timing on the controls, and it was a battle to get it right. The cooldown on slaps is only in the challenge mode to prevent button mashing. In the story mode you can spam slaps as much as you want :)

Entertaining and interesting take on the topic, but the download size of 2.3 GB is way too big.

Hi. It really should, but we don't have hardware to test it. You ran into problems trying to run it? I assume you ran the web version? We're there any errors displayed? Any details you can tell us about the issue would really help us fix it/prevent it in the future!
