Hey Pira! Thank you for your encouraging message :) I'm glad you like the asset pack.
Good luck with your current project!

Hey! No worries at all, we all have our off days. I totally get it, and I'm just glad we sorted things out :)
Your YouTube channel sounds pretty cool! I really enjoy seeing how people end up using Minifantasy assets, so I'd love to check out how you're putting the game together. Drop the link here!
Thanks again for being so open about everything. All in all, feedback is necessary and always welcome (whether it is for praising or criticizing) and you have given me a couple of things to think about.
Let's focus on the fun stuff now, can't wait to see what awesome things you create!
Hi,
I'm sorry if the way I expressed it confused you; it wasn't my intention to mislead anyone. The word "complete" is used because the bundle includes all the asset packs released on Itch until the moment of purchase. I release a new pack every month, and the complete bundle is always updated with the latest release.
Besides, you are right, Itch doesn't allow retrospectively giving access to updated bundles after the purchase.
However, I do indeed want people to subscribe to my Patreon. Game asset creation is my full-time job, and I personally think that the monetization of the project is fair. I produce lots of asset packs to release on Itch + lots of extra content for Patrons. There is a relatively cheap entry point to get the full Itch collection, and then a small subscription of $3 USD to get all the extras and the new asset pack releases. But I understand it comes down to personal point of view, and I can understand if you don't see it this way.
I just would like you to know that I always try to be very transparent with my business model, and I want you guys to make informed purchases. I will review my wording and see how I can make it clearer to avoid future confusion.
Thanks for taking your time to share your feedback with me.
Hi Presto
When you buy the bundle, you receive all the released asset packs up to the point of purchase. The bundle in your Itch library doesn't get updated with future releases.
If you wish to acquire new Minifantasy releases after purchasing the bundle (a new asset pack every month), you have two options:
Or,
As a Patreon subscriber, you'll receive the latest pack release each month, along with other exclusive benefits. This way, your Minifantasy collection will always stay updated.
You can check this post for a more detailed explanation --> https://krishna-palacio.itch.io/minifantasy-dungeon/devlog/701876/how-to-get-the...
I hope this clarifies your question! Let me know if you have any other question :)
Hi hullHound,
Thanks a lot for choosing Minifantasy for your Jam entries ^^ I appreciate it very much!
I really enjoy seeing what you guys make with the assets, whether it's personal projects, jam entries or commercial games, it's my guilty pleasure, hahaha.
It's not specified clearly, but the license actually refers to commercial projects. I know that messaging me about new jam entries can be a bit annoying, especially for very active devs. So, you can just notify me if you release a commercial game or a bigger project, but don't refrain from sharing with me small things if you think they are worth it, I'd love to see them :)
PS: I destroyed all the pots!
Hi m0rnin9star,
You can use the assets for a team project, no problem with that. However, your team members with access to the assets are not allowed to take the assets to make their own projects.
For more clarity, the license for the assets is granted to the purchaser (in this case, you). As such, any derived works created using these assets are only licensed to the original purchaser (you).
In a team context, if other individuals (in this case, your friend) use Minifantasy assets to create levels, edits, or other derived content, they are not granted any license to use the original or the derived works for their personal or commercial projects (the works involving Minifantasy assets could be only used in your project, as you are the original purchaser of the assets).
As the purchaser and license holder, if you share the assets within a team, you are responsible for the correct use of the license by your team.
If your team members (your friend) wish to use Minifantasy assets on their own projects, they will need to purchase the assets to get a use license.
I hope it answers your question. If you need more information feel free to ask me any time.
have a nice week!
Hi nclefsrud, thanks for asking.
You can use the assets for a team/group project, there is no problem with that. However, your team members with access to the assets cannot take the assets to make their own projects.
The license for the assets is granted to the purchaser. As such, any derived works created using these assets by any person with access to them, are only licensed to the original purchaser. In a team context, if individuals use the assets to create levels, edits, or other derived content, they are not granted any license to use the original assets or the derived works for their personal or commercial projects.
If you have further questions, please feel free to ask :)
Hey Templum! How are you doing?
The carrying animation already exists as a Patreon add-on. Here you can see a preview of it: https://www.patreon.com/posts/exclusive-for-98839743
Besides the monthly releases on Itch, I also expand the collection every month through exclusive Patreon content. This type of small add-ons are suggested and voted on by the Patreon community.
If you have any other questions, let me know!
Have a nice day :)
Hi!
This tileset is considerably more complex than the dungeon tileset, and because of that the layout of the tiles is different, but both are arranged in an 8x8 grid (like the rest of the collection).
If you open the tileset and overlay an 8x8 grid on it, you will see each element is correctly divided following the grid.
Here is a small portion of the tileset so you can see what I mean.
I hope this answers your question. If you have more questions please let me know :)
Hi Vainquit, thank you for your interest in the Minifantasy bundle and for reaching out about the payment issue.
I am sorry for the inconvenience you've experienced. As far as I'm aware, payments shouldn't be limited to credit card-linked PayPal accounts. During the last 4 years, many devs have successfully made their purchase using PayPal without any problem.
However, Did you try to transfer some money directly into your PayPal account and make the purchase using PayPal credit?
Other than that (and I know this is the annoying workaround ^^'), you could try to contact PayPal's customer service, as they might be able to provide a solution that would allow you to make the purchase.
In the meantime, I'll also look into this from my end to see if there's anything I can do to assist. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions or face further issues.
Thanks again for your support and patience.
Hi Evan! Thanks for your comment, I'm glad you like it :)
Minifantasy is a community-driven project, so I don’t really decide myself what the next asset pack (or Patreon exclusive content) will be about.
The way it works is:
Patrons suggest themes and content for new asset packs and other content.
I make monthly polls with their suggestions.
The community decides what I will work on by voting in those polls.
Right now there isn't planned a specific asset pack that will focus solely on such types of creatures, but if the community shows interest in it, sure I will work in something like that :)
I hope this answers your question. Have a nice day!
Hey there!
First, I want to say thank you for your support and feedback. I'm thrilled to hear you found out about Minifantasy thanks to Unpaws Games :)
Regarding your suggestion about adding more skin colors, I absolutely agree! It's something I want to improve in the collection. I totally understand that more skin color options included by default is something many people will appreciate.
The reality is that I’m alone making the collection and my time is limited, so it’s not always easy to manage all the aspects of it that needs more work, updates and improvements. However, I’m always pushing to make it better and I take every suggestion into consideration. So, I can’t give you a time frame, but you can be sure it’s something I want to improve.
That said, and as a temporary solution for now, the base character assets are simple enough to self-edit, and additional skin color palettes are already available in the NPC pack. So, at least, you can easily recolour the sprite sheet of the human animations.
As for the outfits, I used to be working on a series of outfits to overlay on the base characters, however, I had to discontinue them because keeping them updated with the ever-growing amount of animations (80+ animations for the base humanoid has been added in different pack releases over time), it turned out completely unmanageable. It was shifting my focus away from creating new assets, which is really where I want to put my energy. Although I won't be adding new outfits for now, you can still access the older ones from the Patreon archive (available only for the base character animations: idle, walk, attack, die, dmg…).
However, again, with some editing, you can use outfit pieces from NPCs pack, and apply them to the animations you use in your project for your characters.
Again, thanks for reaching out. Your input helps me make Minifantasy better for everyone!
Exactly! :) One of the benefits of having such a large modular collection is that many assets from different packs can be combined to expand the possibilities of each other. Even when the theme or setting of the packs is very different, there are always some tilesets, props, or creatures that match perfectly when introduced into a new context.
