To start, I think the game so far is great gameplay wise. I love the feeling of exploring and getting transformed in the dungeons. I think that there is a lack of transformation themed games and this game has really been scratching an itch for me for tf games. Just some suggestions I have is that I feel like it can get pretty easy to get lost, especially on the deeper levels. I think if there was some kind of spell to maybe show a map or something so I can see where I haven't explored yet to find the exit, it would be really helpful. I also think a UI for what level of the dungeon I'm on would be really helpful, mostly just for my own sake to know how I'm progressing. Maybe also a run button so I can actually explore the zoo without getting carpal tunnel from pressing my arrow keys aggressively. Those are just a few quality of life things I think could be a good improvement on the game
Another idea that I had would be to make there be different "zones" of the dungeon that you progress through. Like maybe you'd start out in like "the meadows" or something, where you find all the mice and bunnies and cats and stuff, and after a few levels of that you make it to "the mountains" where the kobolds and snakes and stuff can start spawning, and then like a caverns zone where you find the wolves and bats. And you could add more zones with different animals there themed around the zone, like maybe a jungle themed zone or a forest or something, where you can find different enemies. Again, that one is just an idea and I think the game is great even without it.
I think that food is a little rare, especially as you go further down, so maybe increase the rates at which chests or stuff spawn, or maybe make special forage-able spots where you can get berries or stuff to satiate your hunger a little bit, or maybe like if you're a carnivorous creature you could slightly fill your hunger meter by attacking smaller creatures, or if your an herbivore you maybe wouldn't lose hunger if you're around the grass near the skylights. Or you could add a spell or something that lets you create or scavenge a little bit of food. I also think that a spell to regain a little HP might be helpful, and having the larger variety of spells would give me something to spend my mana on other than just dumping it all into curse removal.
One more thing I just want to see is that I just want to see more animals to transform into. The ones that are there are great, I just think it would be cool to have some more. I really just want a wider variety of things to transform into. It could also be interesting if being transformed into animals maybe gave you certain elemental resistances, like maybe being a mouse could make you more resistant to electric damage, or a bat could make you fire resistant, and maybe being a wolf could make you more ice resistant (even though there isn't anything that does ice damage as far as I'm aware.)
I also think that maybe the "cursed" items like the bunny ears should hint at them doing other things in addition to like the speed bonus. I'm also not sure, but I think that the bunny ears aren't actually able to transform you? I could be wrong about that, but it feels like they don't do anything but limit your food options. I think it could be interesting if they gave you a message like "the ears start to become less like a hat and more like ears" or something and it starts transforming you and you should take it off. Again, I'm not too sure about most of the details with the cursed items, I just think they could be a little more interesting
Also a minor bug I noticed, is that if you are very transformed into a bat, you can spend a remove curse, which will take away your ability to fly and give you back weapons, but when you start walking again it gives you back flight, but doesn't take away your weapons. I could be 99% bat and still swinging around a sword which doesn't seem intentional. Just thought you should know.
Anyway, that's my thoughts and suggestions about the game. I think it's great so far, and I hope you continue working on it, and I look forward to the next update :)
