super fun game! it's challenging, but most roguelikes are! many large chests ahead!

I realized the issue was nothing, it was just my controller was plugged in and putting in input

one small issue is that every time I open the game, it just flashes the pause screen over and over, as if I was holding down esc, or repeatedly pressing esc. I've tried to redownload it twice from two different sources, and they all have this issue of flashbanging me with the pause screen.

my main problem is that when thunder happens, the screen flashes, and I have family who are sensitive to flashing lights so I'm hoping that maybe instead you could add a lightning effect in the background instead of flashing the screen? it makes me worried.
