A crazy ride thru n through! There are so many elements in this game. Like so many things. Plot twists, threads, strings, shenanigans. To list off the more regular: the art is nice, and the backgrounds are there. The prose is very detailed all the time, which I believe hurts the pacing at points but is also kind of a wonderful quirk for this VN in specific. I'm not even sure how to talk about this submission because everything that could be listed as a flaw also contributes to what makes it so lasting in my mind. For the optimal experience, this version of the game is it for me, weird wording and bugs included.

The characters are wonderful, they come off as more unhinged with every single line and it's a game of trying to decipher which one of them is worse as a person in the moment. Realism is in here and there, thrown out when we don't need it. I haven't seen anything like this. And oh my goodness, the directions in which the story goes... It's absurd, and this will NOT be everybody's cup a tea, but it is mine. Wild, weird and pulsating journey. One of the most memorable bear characters in the jam.

For the record, I'm not sure any of this would work if it were not in this game.  So take a sprinkling of sugar uponst my every word!

Lovely use of white as an aesthetic, pleasant altered UI! The prose is consistently evocative and delivers imagery in ways that the actual assets could not (likely due to the deadline). Aside from minor bugs, the stubborn repetition and the main character's motivation to reach for the one thing in front of him was very impactful, especially with the ending. 馃暦锔廔n my mind, I was definitely going "I understand they have fur, but still, wearing only underwear outside in the very cold no-warm snowy regions? Preposterous!". To know more of the world in the future would be grand, since this could only paint a picture within the small timeframe. Also, the character art is kyuuut!

Daft Punk was right - it's amazing what you'll find face to face! So many aspects of this VN are swagalicious. I got very hooked by the mid-point and I didn't expect a mystery at all, and suddenly - WHABAM. The writing had me on my tippy toes the whole time, I couldn't call any of the twists at all. Using the provided sprites but altering them to be silhouettes worked amazingly, giving this feeling of being unable to pick anyone apart, no idea who's acting in good faith and who isn't. Lack of backgrounds did not impact my experience almost at all, I would go as far as to say the grey background with text in the top left declaring what room it is supposed to be was an aesthetic choice on its own; it worked surprisingly well with the setting. (I only wish there weren't scribbles like the ladder or especially the painfully rushed trees in the final scene.) The resolution tied this all together into what feels like a complete bundle - a short and satisfying mystery in part impactful due to its own decision to leave threads hanging and still definitively concluding.

I'll remember the sound of rain.

Very short! But the artstyle is too cute... I need moar! I am very proud that you managed to get this out, and it is interesting, I need to kno of the story expeditiously. Luck on your endeavors!
