Let's all take time today to celebrate women, enbies and others of underrepresented genders in our lives!

Hope your game jam submissions are coming along!

Get ready to let your light shine! Our theme for this jam is Illuminate!

Yes!

Hey Jack! Thanks for thinking of our game jam as a place for your game! I can see you've put it in a lot of different game jams too.
It would go a long way if you could build out your game page with instructions, images, etc, perhaps speaking to how you've tried to tackle the theme of this jam. Without those things, it can sometimes seem disingenuous, which isn't in the spirit of our community jam.

Once you have that  up, I will be happy to requalify your submission!

This is correct

Early access as in, Steam?
Not a problem for this jam, make sure it's okay on the Early Access side of things too!

Tudo bem amigo!!

My wife is Brazilian and would never speak to me again if I said no, ha!
You are most welcome to join and submit a game, however the prizes are for those who are based here in the Northern Territory of Australia.

Looking forward to seeing your game!

Very very cool. I used to teach matrices, and have never ever considered they would be useful for something like this!!

Oh. My. God.

Hello!
We really love the software and can see the potential for road safety, even if there doesn't seem to be a game in this submission.
We'd love to chat more - could you email dylan@larrikininteractive.com, thank you!

Hey Mira, thanks for your submission!

We are having difficulty playing the game and need some assistance.

Can you please email dylan@larrikininteractive.com or DM me in discord as soon as you can so we can play and judge your game!

TrafficJAM team

Hello!
Yes, you are absolutely encouraged to enter!!

The only caveat is that due to some legal stuff on our end, the awards this year are available only to Australians.
This is an annual event, and next year we will work with our team to award games from anywhere in the world :)

But we absolutely would love to see how you take the theme and we look forward to playing your game!

Ahhhh so THAT'S how santa does it!?
Mine was more like "tropical low santa" - failed to reach maximum velocity haha

Elf jump, elf shoot, but most of all, elf die.

Nice work on the different AI and suble background parallax effects!!

I wasn't sure how to beat the last boss...

At first I thought the music was the Chocobo theme!
Nice getting the local multiplayer in time!

How did you do the title screen?? Nice concept, and I used the escape button to show the cursor to pick up the present, then middle mouse to remove cursor and then throw!

Ahhh this retro feel speaks to my soul! The music and the slow fade to black at the ending were spot on. Cool dive mechanic also!

Today I learned that:

  • Santa's Reindeer might not be the best mode of delivering presents.
  • Santa has a disconcerting knack for carpet bombing

5/7 targets hit, I am wondering who will get the game key!

I really really love this art style. Reminds me of an old mmorpg Ragnarok Online! Music is also great.

Have to agree with Grovesy haha. I really wanted to make it to the chorus but just couldn't. I like the sound of the gun shot

10/10 would parkour in flip flops to Pingu easter egg again

I LOVE this!! So soothing, I feel like I am going in a trance as I go left and right...

Hey!
We are trying to get in touch with the developers behind this game, can you please get in touch with the Game Jam organisers as soon as possible, thank you!

Can you please include instructions on how to install and play on Scratch?
Looks fun!

Hello everyone and I hope you have your remaining 5 days and 17 hours mapped out!

I just wanted to give some more details to keep in mind as you madly put the final parts of your games together.

If you've signed up through the NextTier website (you should), you will also receive an email with more exact information but here is a little taster.

1. The judges will have 2 weeks to go over your games.

2. While the judges deliberate, we are really lucky to have 2 of Darwin's biggest game streamers play everyone's games! (http://twitch.tv/ActualPinguThePeng and https://www.twitch.tv/PurpleCookiex) The stream is currently set to Sunday 5th September with exact times to come - don't miss this stream as it's sure to be hilarious.

3. We have our final showcase event hosted at VR Gamers on Saturday the 11th September. Time still to come. This is a chance to showcase your work, as well as meet and great the other developers in the competition! VR Gamers has hinted at a surprise award too...

4. The final award winner will also be announced during the showcase (but if you can't make it that's okay! We would prefer you to be there but we can contact you separately to let you know too)

5. If you are entering this competition from the NT, please indicate this in your game submission information!

That's all for now - good luck developers, be kind to yourself and crunch responsibly :)

Hello Igor!

Apologies for the delay!

By Northern Territory we mean - that part of Australia.

Hope that clarifies it!

Thanks for your feedback! I can see by the other submissions where the bar is set, and will take your feedback on board for the next one :)

Wow, really incredibly polished game mechanic for jam, really enjoyed the game.

Cool idea, love the music!
