Yep

It's been a while, but here are some updates on Cuniculum:

  • 2 new levels
  •   1 new major mechanic: hazards moving on rails
  •  ghost replay that plays back your best run (can be toggled on/off)

I've also been working on the soundtrack. The boss theme as well as the boss intro theme is now complete. As per usual, many, many bugs have had to be squashed.

On the art side of things, (spoilers I guess) I've created the boss character as well as his disguised form.

Hey there. This is a devlog about a new game I'm working on.

It's a platformer where you have to reach the end of each level, but instead of jumping, you have the ability to dig into the ground and then burrow out. Your momentum is conserved and increased when digging so you have to build up momentum and try not to lose it as you burrow about. Once you get the hang of it the gameplay is super fluid, so I've decided to lean into the speedrunning aspect by adding scores based on time. Here's a gif of the player burrowing about, gaining momentum:

I plan to add a new mechanic at least every 2 levels (which are about 3 minutes long each) so the gameplay is always fresh.

If you want to see more, the full devlog is at https://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=72406.0

Very glad to hear you enjoyed it! I'm not planning on updating it in the near future as I'm working on other projects, but creating an eventual update/sequel is a possibility

Ah, sorry about that. I'll keep that in mind for future games; thanks for the feedback.

Glad you enjoyed it! For the end, do you mean the boss or the cutscene?

Interesting...

Snake Deminer is a fun little puzzle game inspired by Minesweeper, based around logic and reasoning, where a grid of paths and mines is randomly generated. Your goal is to uncover the paths while avoiding the mines to help the snakes reach their destinations!

Use the clues and your logical thinking to figure out which cells contain what, helping the snakes to get home across an infinity of procedurally generated levels.

Mobile version coming soon(ish)!

Very Nice

https://lazerrock.itch.io/the-battle-of-the-pond

The Battle of the Pond is fun little retro top down shooter about fighting nasty enemies to reclaim your pond.  Explore 3 unique level-based worlds, multiple original enemies, and face off a challenging boss at the end. Shoot bullets and lick with your tongue to victory!

Features unique soundtracks, customisable controls, and a fun pixel-art style.

A very nice little game, I especially like the animations! The plant related puns are also pretty funny. However, I think it's a little too easy. Also, the bird sprite doesn't really match the rest of the game (maybe it's the black outline it has, which the other sprites don't). And I think it's a bit lacking in sound effects. Lastly, the setting feels a bit off. It looks like it's set in a dungeon, but if the plant was in a family's house shouldn't the setting be in a house?
Overall a very enjoyable little game, especially since it was made in a game jam.

Extremely fun!

Very nice game! I especially like the intro and music. My only complaint is that it's rather hard to move the environment sometimes, due to the pieces going off screen when the slurpie goes too high.
