Thanks! :) I hope you managed to sleep in the end

You can find instructions for mac at the end of the description page ^^

Thank you! We received your email, we'll reply as soon as possible!

Hi there! Just delete the contents of the %APPDATA%\Paper Lily folder to reset your game to factory settings and delete your save data.

Sorry for the delay, we just saw your edit. Very sorry about this! Please send us an email at leef6010@gmail.com so we can send you a key (itch.io doesn't allow direct messages to users).

Thank you for playing! Happy to hear that you like it!

If you already paid, you only have to add the difference ($3 in your case) :)

Hi there! The Steam version runs on Linux through Proton! We tested it on the Steam Deck.
We also recently wrote a little Twitter thread explaining more:

Thank you very much! ^^

You might be looking at an old video that had a bug in the fuse puzzle! Make sure you fill up all 4 slots and make them add up to 55.

The supporter pack contains a few pages of concept art, character sheets, wallpapers, maps of in-game locations, and some assets from the game.

If you already donated 8$ or more through the Paper Lily itch.io page (thanks so much!) then you should be able to download the supporter pack without donating any more!
If your donation was through the Project Kat page, then it's the PK supporter pack that you already have!

Thank you! ^^

Thank you! ^^

If it shows you the message "This application is damaged and can't be opened.", the instructions to fix that can be found right on this page in the description ^^

This is a space to discuss Paper Lily. From now on we will remove off-topic comments, especially personal attacks on each other. Thank you for your understanding!

Good catch! The candles were removed, we'll get that fixed!

We wrote a post on Twitter and Steam recently explaining this but haven't gotten a chance to post on Itchio as well.
This is normal, the saves are not compatible between v1.0 and v1.1 due to the big changes we made. We did our best to avoid this, so we apologize  for the inconvenience.

Hello! We wrote a post on Twitter and Steam recently explaining this but haven't gotten a chance to post on Itchio as well.
This is normal. We tried to avoid this as much as possible, but sadly because of the type of changes we made to Chapter 1 for version 1.1, old saves are now obsolete. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We understand where the confusion is coming from.

In Project Kat, the language selection menu was not removed. In Paper Lily Chapter 1, the language selection menu never existed, because it was not translated to other languages yet.  Nothing was removed.

To translate Paper Lily, you need the translation files. For Chapter 1, we didn't send out those files yet - this is because we anticipated a large number of changes for v1.1.0. We didn't want translators to have to work twice.

Rest assured, we will send out the translation files soon. Thank you for your understanding.

Hi there! It looks like you have the wrong idea.

1) We never removed any translations.
2) We're aware that some people are hoping to translate Paper Lily soon - we're fixing the initial bugs and typos before sending out the translation files like we did with Project Kat. This is because translations would break if we fix typos or change a word/sentence here and there, which would be inconvenient for the translators. Please be patient, you will be able to translate the game into whatever language you want <3
3) We want people to play our game, so there's no reason for us to remove or block translations.

We hope this clarifies things!

(1 edit)

The Skip option is supposed to be there, but it disappeared mysteriously. We have a fix ready, we'll update it soon. Sorry about that!

[Edit] Fixed!

Posting v1.1 to Itch in a few minutes!

Hi there! You must be getting a message from Windows SmartScreen, since the game's executable is not digitally signed. If you want to avoid the message, you can launch the game through Steam (don't worry, it's the same game ^^).

Yes! This happens on Mac sadly, the instructions are in the description of this page, let me paste them for you:

MacOS Users: please be aware of a feature called Gatekeeper, which may show the message "This application is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the trash" when opening Project Kat. You can find information on how to bypass this error in this video. Alternatively, you can try to install Project Kat using the Itch App.

Thanks for the fun little game :)

We made a little challenge out of it on Twitter, let me know if there's a Twitter handle under which I can tag you!

Thanks very much! You need to make sure all 4 slots add up to 55 to turn on the elevator! ^^ Hope this helps!

You need to fill all 4 slots to turn on the elevator ^^ (The person that filled only 2 had a buggy version of the puzzle)

We just tested recording some clips with OBS on Windows 11, both windowed and fullscreen and it seems to be working with our hardware.
We'll try to test with other configurations, but in the meanwhile if you haven't already, you should try updating your video drivers, it tends to help ^^

Thank you! We're happy you enjoyed it ^^

THANK YOU!

Thanks very much! Happy you enjoyed it! ^^

Support for other aspect ratios might not be possible without extensive testing and redesigning of a few areas since all of our scenes are designed for a 16:9 aspect ratio. If we simply changed it, several visual glitches would appear at the edges of the screen.

On the other hand, the game should look fine at 2K and 4K resolutions, since we test those regularly ^^

This is beautiful! Thank you so much!

Would you be ok with us posting this on Twitter with a link to your YouTube channel? :)

Hi! Can you give us your computer specs so we can see what the problem might be?

Sorry we took so long to reply, but your comment really touched us ^^

We're sad to hear about your struggles, life can really kick us down but we hope you find a way to hold on to whatever little things make you happy!  We're glad Paper Lily helped in some way, and we hope you'll play the rest of it <3
Take care of yourself!

Thank you, we're very happy you like it!
As for the save slots, sorry for the trouble! The next update will have 30 save slots so this shouldn't be an issue in the future ^^

After reading this comment several times, we still have no idea what you mean, can you elaborate? ^^;

The valves puzzle can be solved and you have everything you need for it ^^

Hi! Sorry about that, we saw your email as well. Could you send us a screen recording of that part of the game? We've tested it extensively and still cannot figure out what the issue is.
Your video might help shed some light on that ^^

Hi there! You need to fill all 4 slots in order to power up the elevator!
(What you're seeing on youtube is a bug from an older version of the game, where you could solve it with only 2 ^^; )

Soon! We're adding/fixing things at the moment :)
We'll post the specific release date on twitter (and steam) when we have it!
