Hey! Quick questions, I'm an rpg mv dev, what version of RPG Maker do you use? How are you able to change the text box color? Is there a plug in for that? Thank you!! Your games look absolutely adorable!

I really appreciate your feedback! I normally dislike criticism but you made some good points and were very helpful with it!
I can’t do much about the music not having smooth transitions because RPG maker lacks in that area and there isn’t a good plugin for music related things unfortunately. (As far as I’m aware)
I know that the battle system is a bit iffy right now, I’m going to balance it out as much as I can and make sure it’s better in the final game.
As for the character sprites and animations being wonky, I wasn’t striving for complete perfection as this is technically my first game (I started this in February, then I made Fern or Faye in 2 weeks for a jam) so I didn’t really look for a good plug in to make more frames, and make them smoother etc. For the character customization, your idea for choosing different body types and skin color is a great idea, I’m a bigger person myself so I understand how important representation for that can be, when I first started that part of the game, I didn’t really know how to add more options due to the one room, but I will definitely take that into consideration and potentially add more customization options!
I haven’t really noticed how off the animations can look until about a month ago, but I’ve already made so many sprites that I don’t feel like re-doing, because again, it’s my first game and it doesn’t have to be perfect in my opinion but that’s definitely something I’m going to work on in the future!
As for the story and how easy it is to find the creatures, admittedly this flew over my head a little bit. There are characters that do know about the creatures but they weren’t shown. I wanted the game to be easy for kids which is why I designed it the way I did, but like I said it went over my head on how small it seems haha.
Thank you so much for your feedback! Sorry if this reply is a giant book but I’m very passionate about this project!
Game Title/URL: Fern or Faye? https://leilanix.itch.io/fern-or-faye
Pitch/Information:
During the crushing state of the great depression, Honeybee moves into the same house as her two childhood best friends, alongside one of their husbands. Things have been good, great even. It seems like the ideal situation to be around the people you love most. However, Honeybee has a non-shakable feeling of dread. She's been noticing some things that feel off with her friends, Fern and Faye. Will Honeybee be able to uncover a secret?
This game contains mature themes such as: Violence, Blood/Gore, and Adult Language.
If you are sensitive to this sort of thing, be cautious on if you decide to play.
I'd like feedback on: Anything! As long as there isn’t any mean or rude criticism. Constructive criticism is allowed!
Game Title/URL: Fern or Faye? 18+ https://leilanix.itch.io/fern-or-faye
Pitch/Information: Fern or Faye is a short, mysterious game about friendship during the great depression. You play as Honeybee, a girl who has been noticing some suspicious behavior from her friends. With 5 different endings, will Honeybee witness a murder?! Or will she fix the problems she has been worrying about?
I put a password on the link since I don't want it to be public until complete. Password is: Fawn
It may say that you cannot download the game but you should be able to with the download button! I will fix this in the final version! Keep in mind that this is unfinished, especially the music! The game should have complete music, polish etc.
I'd like feedback on: I am a bit sensitive when it comes to criticism, so please don't be rude about anything nitpicky, however I would love feedback on the story, vibes, any features I could possibly add, any glitches etc.
I need help on: Please let me know if there are any bugs! I also want to make sure the story is understandable, so please let me know if you're struggling to follow along!
