Thanks! Yeah, for a next version I’m thinking of mechanics that allow for a bit more strategy - having a finite amount of times you can discard an atom sounds like a good idea.

I’m not thinking much of that but eventually my plan is to have things like e.g. burst combos, possibly add some dynamics (like the pop pushes the surrounding numbers a bit), add bonuses (like recovering one life, strengthening the central attraction that keeps the particles from leaving the circle and so on), an anticipation of what the next particle will be, and so on. It’s inspired by Tetris and Puzzle Bobble, and I’d like it to have a similar arcade-y feel.
You should press R to restart, does that not work? I just uploaded a WebGL version too.
For the particles, did you notice something in particular? I’ve seen some occasions in which they seem to slightly jiggle in place when playing by myself, but not always. I assume it’s something to do with the physics engine’s collision handling, may be fixable if I tune its parameters properly.

A free tileset of 16x16 sprites to start prototyping any space game, especially arcade and roguelike ones! Inspired by Kenney’s 1-bit pack in spirit, though still a bit smaller (hopefully to grow in future releases).
