loved the looping mechanic in this. very fun!! the heavy contrast shadowed style is such a good stylistic choice.

easily one of the best experiences ive had playing through a rpg in years. the writing style is romantically poetic yet ever so unsettling in a way that only some writers of horror manage to pull off. the first couple seconds immediately captivated me and it just kept on getting more intriguing somehow. absolutely no idea what your inspirations could be but i kept being reminded of certain denpa and lovecraftian works while reading through and i could not help but be hopelessly in love.
best of luck on any future projects :)
incredibly interesting and poignant game. loved the way Erics real feelings were implemented in the second chapter... admittedly i am a bit too forgiving for my own good and in my case affection remained even when im not perfectly sure it shouldve, i still related very deeply to this... old age is terrifying, even more so watching other people go through it. burning fading memories have always filled me with a sense of dread. just as it is stated here, sometimes youre not sure you prefer them remembering or completely forgetting about it all. loved how this was written and presented (art style and ambience wise), the old timey aesthetic really helps bring home the deep melancholy such reunions invoke.
what a beautiful way of representing loss. the art style of this game was what pulled me in at first sight, such calming, melancholic and magical colors... very peaceful yet thoughtful and heart breaking. dementia, as fear and sorrow inducing as it is persists in inspiring the most beautiful of art, thank you for making this :)
Incredible. Captures that exact specific feeling of a car ride with a blissfully unaware father. The music and artwork are somehow so peaceful and calming in an otherwise uncomfortable scenario. The dialogue hits real close to home, truly miserably realistic... Simple mechanics with the radio that are extremely enjoyable to play around with, thanks to how pleasant the music was. Thank you for making this and best of luck with your future endeavors.
This was so fun!! Huge fan of all things eldritch horror so I fell in love with this at first sight. Hendrik and Talaiporia are insanely fun together, learning bits and pieces about their history and seeing them play off eachother was so entertaining, they're both really well characterised within a relatively short time frame. Really looking forward to the next one!! Best of luck with it
incredible game! the music and artwork create such a solemn peaceful beautiful atmosphere. the lockdown has come to pass where i live, but this really captured the feeling of loneliness and hopelessness that came with it, i love the way the end dialogue between Junie and Mel validated those feelings while working to ease and soothe them. thank you so much for making this, i'm looking forward to any future projects if you have any planned, and also checking out past ones. very striking work <3
Was kind of scrolling itch.io for new visual novels last year and ended up playing this. It was still in its earlier stages at that point, and I remember being left with an overwhelmingly positive impression.
Being the person I am, I ended up forgetting all about this game up until months later and figured I'd give it a go and see how much changed.... Going to be honest I've had trouble scraping this game out of my mind since. I'm also writing this review because I just have to thank you for what an experience this was lol.
My favorite thing to praise in games is characters, something I feel that a lot of other media that has amazing potential falls flat on. Here it was genuinely the best quality. Not one character felt underdeveloped, or kind of just there. I loved the writing, I loved the amount of detail put into every scene, I loved how I never really got bored or wanted to put the game down. Cove especially contributed to this. I love that boy so much. GBpatch you are godly for creating him.
At the time I was dealing with a lot in real life, I had mainly been coming back to visual novels because they allow me, and I'm sure most other people, an escape and a distraction. Somehow this game placed me in an ideal world, let me be a part of it and also gave me the opportunity to confront what I was escaping from.
Keep up the amazing work and the best of luck to any future projects, this was unlike anything I've played and I'd love to see more of it :'')
Hi! I havent played the game myself yet (really looking forward to the soonest I can though!!), but it looks amazing! I really do enjoy the cynicism of this. The unsatisfying endings, the pity you feel for the girl, the way every ending you make leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. Theres also a fair share of mystery with the daddy character which keeps the game lingering in your mind.
Apologies that this is such a overly positive review with no real useful feedback, but I really enjoyed your way of story telling as well as the games overall aesthetic. So happy I stumbled across this! Good luck on any of your future endeavors !!
hi! this was such an experience. that twist was so unexpected !! (even though it was hiding in plain sight which made it all that much more brilliant,)
i love how both characters feel like real people. the dialogue was rather realistic as well, felt very rewarding to get the best ending as well!! honestly upset me a bit because of how much it reminded me of the friends from 09 :,,D
keep up the good work!!
