Aha, thank you! I used your guide to compile the html file, but it was in the evening and I was half-asleep so I ignored the part about that blue link (I'll fix it).
The beginning being slow is the trade-off for not starting the player off in the middle of the story, while having to infodump about literally everything. It was a choice I made when I started writing the story, though I'm aware it has its downsides. Should pick up in the later chapters tho.
Thanks for taking the time to look through this.
A relief, but also arguably makes things worse, as it means that there's no reason to keep ghosting everyone. Seriously, it's going to be a year soon. No job would allow you to go MIA for so long. (And yes, as people paid money, I do consider this to be a job)
I sincerely hope that she sorts things out and manages to finish the project, even if not all that was planned will make it in. As someone said elsewhere, something is better than nothing.
I wouldn't say they're getting fed up, not nearly enough activity for that. If you look at the dates of the comments, there's often at least a week between them. It's more like people are giving up on the game, and honestly, that was to be expected with being kept in the dark for so long.
Can understand why some would be angry, though. Donate money only to get the silent treatment.
I don't think spamming is necessary tbh. There's no way Agashi can not know about all the people asking for updates on the KS. It is really down to "wait and see" now.
Also presence on lemmasoft isn't a sign of anything. Just last update she advertised a different game's kickstarter, so she might as well be there to keep an eye on projects or something.
Might be unpopular opinion, but I don't think this radio silence is ok at all. People paid money, so it's a responsibility, not a fun little side-project done at leisure. Setbacks are fine, lack of communication is not. All the author's going to succeed in is making people less likely to back any possible future project of theirs, or just ks projects in general.
I hope that everything's well as much as anyone but, yeah.
I have to agree on that. I'm not a backer and have been pretty lax about following this game, but boy, do I feel bad for the investors.
See, I wouldn't say a word if this was a free project - but it's not. People payed money for it, so now it's an actual obligation - a job. Nevermind the delays, I understand that real life happens, but I don't believe that one can't find like five minutes per week to write at least a single sentence like "Hello, still have problems, progress slow but going, see you another week." - or have someone else do this for you.
And if there's some kind of serious trouble, trying to sweep it under the rug is the worst thing to do in the long run, even if coming out with it seems scary.
All in all, I hope that the author does well, but I won't deny that this is highly unprofessional and maybe even disrespectful to the fans. Fingers crossed for a good and swift resolution.
