We've been out of office for the holidays, hence why I said "in the coming weeks".

I should also note the total prize isn't $700aud it's about $500, if you look at the Game Jam page you'll see the total prize amount for each category.

I'll send you an email once I'm back in office.

Regards,

Robin

Congratulations, you've won every category in the Lockyz Media Game Jam 2024.

You'll receive an email from lockyzmedia@gmail.com in the coming weeks to talk about giving you your prize.

The only other submissions have been disqualified so I'd call this an automatic win. However I'll still be verifying your game to ensure it follows the rules of the Game Jam.

Hopefully when I run this next year you'll have some competition.

I wish you luck with your future endeavours. Though I would highly recommend following a codecademy course (They have courses in anything from HTML/CSS/JS to C# which is used for Unity. Epic Games also has various courses for Unreal Engine specifically if you ever choose to go that route). AI has a lot of issues when it comes to creating working code, especially when you consider that current models tend to become dumber over time, while great as a companion tool it's still not there for making whole games.

"No AI Generated Content"

Means nothing generated by AI. However if you'd like help with any code you're welcome to make a post, or directly message "Robin" (Or "Robin squared") in our Discord Server (You're welcome to ask in there for help too, there's a bunch of people who'd be willing to help)

Hiya,

This is a Game Jam, that means you create a game based on the theme and upload it to hopefully win the cash prizes.

This means that you should NOT upload games not created for this Jam, to this Jam. This also means not taking a game youve made for another Jam (whether it's been disqualified from that Jam or not) and then submitting it here. The exact submission that caused me to create this post has been disqualified, other games that do the same thing will suffer the same fate.

Thanks,

Robin

We're using a new versioning format for builds.
Back on Linux and Mac
This version is now live on itch.io and Gamejolt.
You can find an updated roadmap on our Trello

Wanted to talk about the development of Monsty Corp for a second...
IK that I've been referring to the current version as "Beta 2.2" or "Beta 2.1.1" well there are some issues with that...

The first issue is that the game isn't technically in Beta... It's what you would call "InDev" or "Debug"...
So I wanted to say that we will no longer be referring to the game as a "Beta" we won't even refer it to that... In fact we won't even follow Semantic Versioning anymore...

From now on builds will be named after the day in which it releases.... So Beta 2.2 will be renamed to Build 20042020 Day Month Year.

If there is any confusion called we will do our best to correct it and we will be working on updating the versioning everywhere.
Thanks Guys

Hi sx0941,

It's possible that this is an issue with itch.io and we recommend checking out this article for a possible solution.

If that doesn't help you're welcome to email us with the subject {Error Downloading Monsty Corp} and make sure to include in your description what version you purchased at: support@lockyzgroup.net

Thanks,
